I'll start by telling you guys a story about my LC I got at Target about a week ago, so here it is:

I've got my hands on S2 at Walmart and S2 at Gamestop and my sister got the triple pack and at the Walmart I got S2 , so the Target I went to was the last place we went to get Skylanders that day. I tried to look in the main Skylanders section, but didn't find the LC I was looking for, so the guy there ended up pulling (what I think) were LC and LC , and then we walked to where the door to the back was, and he pulled out a Dragon's Peak and an Empire of Ice adventure packs. but we eventually went near the toys section, and alas, I finally found the LC I've been looking for! And it was the only one there. Although he did have a defect on one of his fangs, my mum corrected that with some whiteout after I got him out of the box. In a nutshell, It was basically a somewhat long quest for a few Skylanders, with finding the LC being the climax of the Skylander hunt.

Have an interesting story about a time when you tried to find a certain Skylander, and then you found it when all hope was seemingly lost? (or something like that.) I'd be curious to know about it.

S2 Ignitor:

To take advantage of a BOGO sale on signles at TRU, I went down to my local one and rather to my dismay, the only single they had was Chill. I'd been wanting a S2 Ignitor and they had the S1 version. I ended up getting Chill and an S1 Ignitor, though almsot immediatly upon checking out I regretted it having essentially bought something to buy something. Sadly, I hadn't seen a S2 Ingitor single in a good month or 2, so I had rather given up on finding a single, though not long ago I had seen the triple with him. Upon getting home, I left the figures in package to return them if I found the S2 Ignitor triple since Chill was in it as well. The next week, I went looking and found more S1 Ignitors at another TRU, checked Target and more nothing. Went to GameStop and found 1 Ignitor/Chill/Zook triple. Was very happy and promtly retured the singles of S1 Ignitor and Chill.

Another found something when hope was lost/fading came up with Scorpion Striker, but that was casual walking into GameStop and finding one even though I hadn't seen one in months, so, not much of a big deal.

Went to GameStop. They had three scarlets. I bought two. Good times.

This was when Wham-Shell was at his rarest in SSA. I was searching around for 3-4 weeks for that Wham-Shell. But I finally found one actually around this time of the year in 2012. I was searching in Target and found nothing I wanted, as I was only missing Wham-Shell. I was about to give up, until I noticed some blue packaging behind several figures. I reached back there, and I found the accursed thing: Wham-Shell. I bought it right then and there, and gone out of the store as quick as I can. Ah, that was the last time I had that exhilaration of completing a collection.

My best story was when Eye-Brawl and Thumpback came out. I went to a Gamestop and they had opened the box, but they were being held for the guy on the phone. Talk about irritated. All the closest GS were sold out. Next, I called a GS that was in the next town over, not thinking they had them, and they were both available. I told the guy to hold them, but he said just get there in the next 20 mins and I could have them. He said no one had come in so they should still be there. I figure I broke time/space laws to get there, actually just the speed limits, and bought the figures.

It's funny the craziness to get the figures when they first come out and now I see initially hard-to-find Giants figures all over the place.
