Well, Sony has recently stated that the PAL version of the Playstation 3 will have only limited backward compatability, though this will improve with upgrades you would download off the Playstation Network. To compensate for this(not to mention for the constent delay and over-pricing of the console), it has been reported that PS and PS2 games that are compatable with the console will be in high-definition on the PS3(meaning those games will look better than ever before, so imagine if that is true and that ANB is compatable with the console, it would look amazing).

OMG you are so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i really reall y really REALLY hope spyro games are compatible w/ ps3, because i will always play the ones from ps1 (and ps2), and they would look so cool...and i hope the price comes down so i can afford it...lol

Oh, I getting the PS3 next week, so I can see whether or not the Pal console plays PS and PS2 games better than their respective consoles did.

Notice how doomed to fail is the second highest, and major price drop, which Sony has already done by reducing the price to 499 US DOLLARS is number one. It's not because of the cool features such as Home and Blu-Ray.

GameFaqs, nothing more than a subsidary of Gamespot, and you all know how stupid they are. Anyway, this game doesn't play on the PS3(yet), but GTG and YOTD do.

Edit: With the Firmware Upgrade 1.7, you can now use vibration with PS and PS2 games and, wait for it, play all Playstation games that you would download onto the PSP via the PS3 on the PS3 itself!

how can you download games on a PSP?! i know a 15 year old that hacks his PSP to put megaman games on it, but i dont have a PSP and yet im still curious how you can do that! HOW?

Well, now you can download old PS One games onto ther PS3 from the PS Store. Both GTG and YOTD are coming out on it in Europe in the next month, but there's no news on the original(the only one I happen to not own).

like the ps2 could play dvds, unlike ps1, so i think thats whay a lot of ppl bought it. but i don't understand why everyone wants a freakin' ps3!! It was like a thousand bucks for one at christmas!! you can buy a freakin' tempurpedic bed for that much!! and STILL 500 bucks is a lot , plus it'll be about 30 more w/ tax and all that. I'm going to get a DS so that i can play wild animal crossing and the new mysims, i wasn't going to, but then i found out that you can play GBA games on it and so thats what changed my mind.

Oh, STD is can now be downloaded from the North American PlayStation Store onto the PS3 and PSP.
