I just watched the Comic Con vid and heard (over the sound of the golum hitting his fist on the ground) the person say that Spyro and Cynder's looks were changed for the upcomming movie. They said it about 2mins 28seconds into the vid.

If you listen closely you'll hear a mention of "Brendan Fraser who plays Rick in the upcoming movie". He's talking about the new The Mummy game of Sierra's for the new film "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor"; the audio just got a bit mixed up at that point.
