I so need a boomer--I bought one from eBay and it arrived with totally damaged packaging--I just really don't want to pay $50+ for it. It was painful enough paying extra for a Dark. Crypt.
If anybody is interested in a trade or has an extra boomer --please PM me.

Toys (and games) cost a lot more in New Zealand than the states – presumably because we are a tiny island on the bottom of the world. A standard figure here is $18-20NZD (or about $24USD). A Giant is about $30NZD (or about $36 USD).

I say that to give context to how much I’ve paid for ‘special’ figures. I paid $50NZD ($60USD) for a Boomer… but while that’s quite a lot of money, it’s only 2.5x the cost of a ‘standard’ figure.
Likewise, I got Whamshell for $40NZD ($48USD) – which isn’t too bad considering that Whamshell never came out in New Zealand at all.
I paid $50NZD ($60USD) for a standard Ninjini a while ago – just because I was slightly worried about the time it was taking to arrive here (don’t want to risk a ‘Whamshell’ situation).

Again, that’s quite a lot of money… but considering a new release Xbox game here is about $145USD, it’s not particularly shocking.

Well--just bought a triple pack with stone whirlwind for $130--
Now I'm working on the single stone zook and whirlwind. I'm also working on finding the triple packs of the glitter variants...
Not sure if there is a better area to ask this but I'd like to know what a "reasonable" price for SSA variants would be--particularly the glow ones. Now--I know what a reasonable price is differs with each of us...but I'm wondering what would be reasonable on eBay as that is where I'm looking. If anybody has other ideas where to look--please share! smilie. I saw Skylanders on the home shipping network last week--(not variants obviously). But I thought that was a "random" place for them. What's next? Lol

Hey Shelly,

CANNOT remember what thread it was, but someone was asking similar questions about value, and a person offered a link to his website:

He said they monitor eBay and Amazon and such for their completed auctions and such to see what they go for, and this PriceCharting site shows the results of compiling this information. He said that the time it takes to crunch numbers means that the averages they list are for a few days before, but it still makes for useful information.

My girlfriend and I have yet to pay more than retail price for anything. The only ones that have made us consider paying more than that currently are Ninjini, Legendary Chop Chop and Granite Crusher.

Thats a great deal actually, for me i got myself the Skylanders Giants Starter Pack 3DS for $35, includes Punch Pop Fizz, Cynder and Tree Rex. I got it from craigslist brand new and i think it was a good deal since retail price is like $59.99 smilie

Most were $2-$3@ used.

So that makes me feel a little less meh about spending as much as I did on the other 2.
It was still painful to see my son rip granite from his package today lol

It is considered somewhat vulgar in some places. Really depends on who's reading it. I for one don't say it, I say miffed, which is completely appropriate (I heard it in Ben 10 once, but I learned of it in a book), and expresses extreme irritation and anger.

Back on topic, I considered buying Scarlet from Germany, but ultimately decided to wait.
