I am forcing myself to play and upgrade skylanders that are not my goto characters.

My "A" team is drobot, shroom boom, fright rider, double trouble, stealth elf, slam bam, bash, prism break, tree Rex and swarm.


So the ones I am choosing to use are the following... , one from each element
Sproket
Hex
Spyro
Flashwing
Jet vac
Hot dog
Chill
Gil grunt

Go "B" team! :-)

Anyone else do this? Who knows maybe one of them will move to the A team!

out of the ones you have showed how about any characters

Your B Team is just as good as your A Team IMHO, I also have an A and B Team, depends on what I am doing in the game or my goal is how I choose which team.

Ones I don't play so much by element:
Chop Chop, Sunburn, Stump Smash, Bash, Wham Shell, Warnado, Drobot and Wrecking Ball.

Now some of my B team like Slam Bam, Drobot and Ignitor get played almost as much as the A team cause i really like them too and somtimes have a hard time deciding

I mostly just play as the Skylanders that I have just gotten. Example: I play as S2, and LC cause I just got them.

My least played with Skylander is Stump Smash.

I can honestly say I enjoy playing as all of my guys but there are some that see less action than other's.

Shroom Boom: Not bad but his shots are kind of weird since you have a little dead zone in his shots.

Crusher: Another one with a dead zone and his buzz saw shot is a pain to aim. Still a lot of fun though.

Cynder: I don't use her a lot, she plays great and she's saved my girlfriend and I from a game over a bunch of times we just always forget about her.

The tree guy on the Angry Orchard hard cider bottle: No matter how many times I put him on the portal for some reason he never shows up. I've gone through about 12 of them now since we started last week and none of them work. I guess I'll keep trying.

yes, I'm partial to the giants. My wife finds them too slow. Figure any character not mentioned here is less used, although we still make an effort to get everyone leveled up, fully upgraded with all quests and challenges done.

The ones I avoid are ones that I think look terrible:

I do have to force myself to play them. Some of them won me over (Drill Sergeant), but most are figures I only keep for the sake of having the whole collection.

I like to play weaker characters as they make the game more interesting to me, hence choices like Boomer and Trigger Happy over Drobot and Blademaster over Soul of The Flame.

Normally I don't use variants, but I chose to make three exceptions:
- Dark Spyro is the first Skylander I ever had, and the title mascot of 3DSSA. He represents my favourite Skylanders game, and he's all around special to me, so obviously in he goes.
- Legendary Chop Chop is always better than Series 2 with Wow Pow in my mind, because he's significantly weaker without it. Shield Skewer makes him a tad too strong for my tastes. There's also the fact that Legendary is the reason that I actually like Chop Chop- without him, I would have finished the Heroics on regular Chop Chop, ignored him and moved on from this great character!
- Gnarly came with my PS3- I mean, come on!

Anyway, characters I don't really use? These are the ones I rarely pick up unless I'm resetting them.

- Any variant that's not in one of my teams. The closest thing is that I'll use sometimes since I'm especially fond of and pretty much use him as much as , but I'm really sick of variants to the point that I want to rid myself of them!
- Terrafin. He's hopelessly broken- and I just can't have any fun with a character like that. Even on Brawler, his dig makes him so defensively strong I feel that I cannot lose as him.
- Eye-Brawl. I never liked him much, and I probably never will. He's probably the least entertaining Giant far and away in my opinion, and that's saying something, since I don't even like Giant Skylanders much. Eye Brawler is too clunky to do much with, and Eye for an Eye just isn't in my tastes.
- Spyro. I don't like him as a "revival", and that's all I'm reminded of when I use him. His chunky wing things are also butt-ugly on his Series 2. I do like his Wow Pow quite a bit, but I play so much, that it offsets most of his bonuses. Even worse, exists for me to play with Blitz if I want to.
- All the LightCores. It's not even because they don't have Wow Pows or that they cost far too much- it's the announcer saying LIGHTCORE that annoys me! I sometimes offset it by loading them into the level first though, because I like seeing them on the Portal and their ingame glow.
- Cynder has the worst Wow Pow to the point that it hinders her, in my opinion. It does little damage, doesn't have great range, and the biggest problem- makes her unable to Dash out from flight. I used her a fair bit in SSA, but rarely use her now. (And I realise that I can use her S1 or not buy it but I'm selling my SSA stuff and I'm a completionist)
- Zook. His novelty just wore off after a while, he is awesome, but I have used him and seen him.
- Whirlwind. She isn't a bad character, by any means, but she just upfront isn't for me.
