Inventory Island: Located next to Flynn’s Ship, Inventory Island will allow you to store buildings and decorations that you currently aren’t using. You start off with 2 slots and can buy another 3 for only 15 gems.

Has any upgrade to the next there Island yet?

It can be upgraded three times and maxes at 50 inventory slots.

It's probably more for saving premium and limited edition items if you run out of room. Anything that costs gold I just sell back to make room.

Yeah, I was trying to figure out what use it was too.

Other games have it and it can be useful if you are moving things around or want to 're-decorate' your islands. It does seem a bit expensive to unlock the slots though!

One thing that would really improve it is if you could access the inventory when you're in move/flip/sell mode. At the moment you can only put things in, not get them out. Also when you do want to place something from the inventory it positions you in the centre of the islands but if you could access it from the move mode you could stay in position which would be much more useful.

I currently have Ninjini's house in storage. Would rather spend gems on other things than Ninjini herself. But I AM getting fairly close to level 30, so I have about a 1 in 11 chance of getting her once I get there.

I didn't see anyone else mention it, but it appears to be the vehicle through which rewards for completing quests are delivered. Being able to win things like decoration items and houses is new with the update and it appears to be dual purpose. I could also see it for space in the early part of the game before you have more island space.
