Here is a spread sheet (Created with Microsoft Excel but can be Viewed/Modified with Open Office) that I created that shows ALL skylanders ever created. It can track the ones you have (Using the "X" or typing in the special "Name") and the ones you dont have (Highlighted in Orange).
If you would like a copy, let me know and I will email you the xls file.

I use the iOS Skylister app mentioned here. Works quite well.
I also have a spreadsheet but it's main use is to track costs! |

I have an Excel file too, but I designed it to mostly track experience/upgrades (i.e. Who still needs work, and who is fully developped: Level 15, all upgrades, all quests, all heroics available to me).
And I find the Skylander Tool developped by... I forget, someone on these forums... to be extremely useful for simply keeping track of who I have, especially since I can just log into it on my phone when in the store. This tool: http://www.funkymonkey.org/skylanders/

this list is actually 100% complete, but does not include unintentional paint "errors" such as Red Lips and Blue Crystals. it doesnt included package differences either.
//forum.darkspyro.net/spyro/viewposts.php?topic=65006 by the way, you have the wrong name for two elements, wind and death should be changed to Air and Undead. |

I think it could get way out of hand if we track every nuisance...I guess we need to track the packaging of the lightcores as well, right? meh. My personal preference is to store "attributes" of each character so you don't need "Specialx" columns, and calling out sidekicks as a separate identity. What you've listed on the characters is what I would consider "core". I would also like to track all items that can be placed on the portal, so that would include magic items, location items, weapons, etc. However, your spreadsheet has a very uncluttered view of what's available for each character--and if that's what is needed--it rocks. It's kinda shocking to realize that on average Activision only added about two characters per element for Giants release, but was able to squeeze out 50+ released characters...now that's money squeezing there folks. Still, all the same---very cool and thanks for sharing.

I just use the trading cards I get from the Skylanders and stick them in a little book with built in card protectors. It is really neat, doesn't require much technology, and it is perfect if you don't collect chase variants. They're about $7 at Target.

Yeah, not much tech is needed...having it digital is nice if you forget what you need and you're out and about.

If you check out the Special 1/2 area under Chill and Prism Break, you will see that Chill has "Purple Lips" in the Special box and Prism Break has the "Green Gem" . Since the blue lips are common the S2 box would be the spot for "blue" lips. This goes the same for Prism Break. If there are any other characters that have feature changes you have the capability to add/change the text. As for the packaging, I do not include that since I open them up anyways. I have updated the Elements, Thank You for catching that. |

Great idea, I will add the Magic items and Chapters to this list. Basically anything that works on the Portal. |

My brain.
I also keep a small list in my purse in case I go out. Sometimes I forget the orange bases I'm missing.
