I believe the newer is no.

to question 1: yes, the new attack is avaliable, usually combo.
to quesiton 2: yes, if you loaded both.

bash u can bash down
zap make a wave and it makes a splash
slam bam while pressing the run botton he makes a spike shield
ignitor makes flame while ur fire spirit mode

Ok... two answer your questions.

: Yes they each have a 3DS version of their wow pow ability. Like series 2 Cynder can do a lightning attack while she's in the air. Or Bash produces a ground fist below him whenever he executes a double jump. However, the wow pow upgrade is not shown in the upgrade menu so you have to search for what they are.

Yes go to the farther side of the ship where it looks like a circular thing flying by the ship. Press y and it'll load that area. at the top area (The Shattering sigil symbol) is where you can view your skylanders. However, it'll only show the S1/ newlanders and Gaints. Variants and Series 2 will only appear in this area whenever you load them into the game. (You must save before you turn it off or they will not still appear there.) but loading that area automatically saves.

Special skylanders like the GITD S2 Cynder will not appear there though.
