What would the value of a sealed Walmart DS (not red) be? The only ones I can find on ebay are where people are asking $150+ for them. So how rare are these? I will be adding one to the collection and would like to know how "collectible" it is.

Let me first say that there seems to be two different paint jobs for this figure. The first being the initial release, which had a brighter/glossier red paint job and unpainted tech gears on it's base. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-S...=item51a9603daa

The later releases seem to not have as bright of a red color and the gears are painted silver as a normal DS would. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Skylan...=item2329a28596

Negligible differences I realize, but as a collector I prefer the initial release. Of course it all comes down to what you want to spend. I think a fair eBay price for these would be in the $65-$100 range. As Matteomax alluded to, the Target Exclusive Whirlwind is harder to find and should command a higher price compared to this figure.

This is funny. I think my son's Whirlwind was the "Target" exclusive box.

Just arrived in the mail and UPC verified. It is indeed the correct one. The only problem is that there is a crease across the top of the box just below the Walmart sticker. It looks like it has been bent backwards. Anyway, other than that its in great shape.

If I remember correctly, you've mentioned that you don't pay above retail in most cases. There isn't huge demand for this... My guess would be somewhere around retail of $9.99 plus shipping.

You have a good memory there. I paid $10.75 total for it. It's a neat piece for the collection, but I was hoping to use it for trading purposes. If not, then I paid retail do I'm happy either way.
