There is actually a topic for this if you'd ever bother to look beyond the first page.

I think that's back at the 4th or 5th page or something. Hardly anyone looks there.

So? You could still bump it. Though it wouldn't be necessary considering the OP has no substance. |

Well, to actually talk about Mario...
Anyone have Super Mario 64? I have it for the Virtual Console and can't find it for my Nintendo 64. I recently started a new file, last Friday, I think. I'm at 55 stars, which is amazing for me since I've never grown used to that game. I'm working on Tick Tock Clock, but for some reason when I went in the level none of the mechanisms were moving. I'm going to check later to see if it works. Has this happened to anyone? |

^ hahaha lulz
yeah, watch the hands of the clock when you jump into it, it will determine the speed of the mechanisms.

^Did not know that. Do you know how to make them faster or slower? Like what times? And do the hands move if you stand near the clock, or is it completely random?

The clock hands are always moving in a definite pattern. You need the minute hand on the 12 to make all the platforms stop completely. Anywhere between the 12 and the 6 (the clock's right side) will make everything in the level move slowly. Anywhere between the 6 and the 12 (the clock's left side) will make everything move quickly. <.<;

^Okay, that makes sense. I thought it was a really bad glitch. But I remember the minute hand was on the 12 and the hour hand was on the 3. Do they move in real time (60 seconds = 1 minute, 60 minutes = 1 hour?)

HIR Diamond Sparx Gems: 9034 |
#12 Posted: 03:39:56 30/03/2013
No. The minutes hand moves pretty fast. I think it does a cycle around the clock in a couple of seconds or so...

I have both the DS remake and virtual console of 64. I have 148 stars on SM64DS.

I like the ones that arent the new series like Super Mario 64 DS, Super Mario 3D Land, and Galaxy.

I wish I had the DS one, it'd be fun for me to run around punching Goombas on the go instead of whacking them with my tail.

I liked 64 a lot back in the day, but it hasn't exactly aged the greatest in terms of controls. Combine that with the camera, and I actually prefer Super Mario Sunshine better, even if some of the missions are A LOT more frustrating. <.<;

^That reminds me, once I beat 64 I still have to finish Sunshine and Galaxy... (Last time I played Sunshine I got stuck at about 9 shines. I must really suck at that game.) Also, are there 100-coin shines in Sunshine?

I bought Sunshine the year it came out, I still have yet to beat it.
Its still my favorite Mario game though. |

Yes, every world has a 100-coing Shine. Galaxy does away with this, replacing it with the Purple Comet instead. <.<;

^Okay. I don't understand why Galaxy 1 and 2 seem to have more gimmicks and stuff yet I can beat the Grandmaster Galaxy faster than that penguin race in 64.

Is anyone playing Luigi's Mansion 2? I expected it to be just a good addition to the 3DS lineup, but IMO, it's actually one of the system's defining games. Those of you with a 3DS should get it ASAP.

I play it! And I agree with you. It wasnt like Sticker Star (Stopped playing after 1-5). I played it more and liked it alot. It goes with the besties like 3D Land and Mariokart 7.

I personally hated 3D Land. Gameplay was fun, but there was no replay value for me once I 100% beat the game. It also didn't have enough NPCs in my opinion (in fact, I don't think there were any.) But that's when I look at it from a Super Mario perspective. If I think of it like a New Super Mario game it's really fun.

3D Land was very fun level wise. It had some of the best levels in the entire series.

^I don't think they were the best, but they were great (especially the last one, and the Bowser boss fight. ROLLER COASTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR)
Just that once I got all Star Coins and beat everyone's StreetPass times, I got really bored with it. |

How good is the NSMB: U game?
I'm really interested in it, but it seems too similar to the first one....

ALL the New Super Mario Bros. games are similar. This one just has fancy HD graphics and better level design than the previous New Super Mario Bros. games. <.<;
