Welcome, HIR! I have a question for you: Which is worse- X6 or X7?

Well, frankly X6 just has frustrating level design and the Nightmare System can go die in a fire for all I care. But playing as Zero is tolerable. The music is also very energetic and pumps me up. And I like the fact that Sigma wasn't the Big Bad for once, even if he came out of nowhere to be the final boss. X7 on the other hand, is REALLY boring and the 3D sections are awkward and buggy for me. And the English voice acting is just atrocious, although ironically enough Capcom brought many of them back for Mega Man ZX Advent. So X7 is worse in my opinion. But that doesn't make X6 a good game by any stretch of the imagination. <.<;

^In addition, the game contains numerous design flaws that could have been easily ironed out if they spent more time on it, and the Nightmare System lives up to its name. Even so, Zero is fun to play with and the soundtrack is outstanding. X7, despite being given proper development time, is garbage. The 3-D sections are basically "run forward and shoot" segments, as well as laughably bad voice acting, a bad story line, junky weapons and gameplay (Explosion, anyone?) and is overall a waste of time and resources.

In a match like this, X6 is clearly the winner, despite all its flaws.

X7 had Flame Hyenard who is my favorite fire based Maverick.

Decisions, decisions, I often take a favourite for each game, more or less as follows:

X1: Launch Octopus - I really like the music, as it fits the stage very well (gotta love the bassline at the start ) and the stage and boss are quite fun. 3-4 'Minibosses' is a bit much though
X2: Flame Stag or Magna Centipede - Both have really cool, fitting music, and the volcano section in flame stag's stage is quite fun & unique (I hate the shaft full of pyro squirrels though) and I like Magna Centipede's stage concept of stealth. One miniboss' performance is even based on how stealthy you are (getting detected by that cursor thing makes it harder)

As a side note, what is your signature supposed to mean/refer to, if anything?

Blaze's signature are quotes spouted by Dr. Eggman when you fight him in Sonic Adventure. They've become memes on the internet, due to how often he repeats them. <.<;

Launch Octopus's fight is annoying for me, but I still like him.
Magna Centipede, Flame Stag, and Wheel Gator are also favourites of mine.

I find the fight annoying sometimes, but I always like to use boomerang cutter on him in the rematch in sigma stages. CUT OFF HIS TENTACLES!

I use the Hadouken in the boss rush for X1. Because I'm cheap like that. Same goes for Sigma 1 & 2, if I can get him before he hits me. ^.^b

I dislike doing that; it turns him into a hoppity spaz that fires stupid torpedoes everywhere.

I thought using Boomerang Cutter on Launch Octopus and Flame Mammoth was purely aesthetic. Of course, I always go Boomer Kuwanger last or near the end, so I never tried it. <.<;

Each to their own, I suppose, I find he sometimes just stays in 1 spot and keeps firing them for a while. It is fun to cut off his tentacles though, as the other homing things can be a bit annoying

Yeah, I noticed. It seemed there were some interesting names attached to the project. And it certainly looked very creative. But something about it seemed off. Much like Bomberman: Act Zero. Still, it's tragic that Capcom canned another game. <.>

It looks like it could have been a decent(ish) game, as long as enough time and effort were to be put into it *coughX6cough*, but it's certainly a shame that it was cancelled

Hey, I have an idea! Why don't we brainstorm ideas for X9?

What console would it be on? wiiware, XBLA & PSN like mm9 & 10?

I would imagine it would be a Nintendo eShop, XBLA, and PSN release. I'm guessing that Capcom would give the development to Inti Creates again, since they'd done most of the Mega Man platformers lately (ZX 1&2, Mega Man 9&10). It would probably be 16-Bit ans use wire frame graphics at some points, cause those were pretty popular back in the day, ha ha ha. Not really sure what they would do for the Mavericks though. I'm also REALLY not sure what they'd do for the story. It's easy to make a Mega Man Classic story (Dr. Wily builds/uses 8 robots to conquer the world), but Mega Man X has a bit more story going with it.

Bridge into the Elf Wars, maybe? Omega & Dr. Weil for X9! *brick'd*

16-bit sounds fun, and the wire frame does look cool when used in the right situation (magna centipede miniboss)

Sorry I've been gone for so long guys, I've just been really busy lately.
I love all of your ideas for X9, and I think it would be a great idea to bridge the gap between the X and Zero series. I think it should be a 32-bit game, since I think that was the strongest representation of the X series. The platform choices sound nice too, though I think it should be on the Wii U as well as the PS4 and Xbox720 (when they come out, of course.).

It would probably be an eShop, PSN, XBLA release. The only way Capcom could justify a disc release for a Mega Man X9 is to make it similar to X8 from a graphical and musical standpoint and add in loads of extras. <.<;

^Yeah, and given that the entire Mega Man franchise hasn't gotten a disc release in who knows how long, it would make more sense for Capcom to release it on downloadable markets instead.

On a side note, has anyone other than me been reading the "Worlds Collide" saga happening in current issues of Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic Universe, and Mega Man?

I have not. I generally don't read that many comics, so that includes the Archie Sonic and Mega Man comics. <.>

Megaman is confirmed to be included in super smash bros 4! watch the E3 trailer, it shows him off and makes him seem badass compared to the other characters
