For those of you who ordered lc pop fizz at TRU.com does that release date change once you order it or what? thanks for the help!

I'm curious too. Aside from the new Sidekicks, LC Pop Fizz is the last figure I really would like to get.

I ordered both LLC Chill and LC Pop Fizz on Friday March 8th, and they shipped LLC Chill, which I received today. But the order says LC Pop Fizz is on hold until the release date 3/8/2013...
So, I have no idea when they're going to ship him. I was hoping they would ship them both together in a box. Unfortunately, they did what they normally do, and shipped Chill in a stupid bubble envelope. It arrived a bit crushed, as usual. |

They should ship these figures in envelopes. Shipping in a box means more money. If you don't want to chance the boxes being crushed, order more than 1 so they are shipped in boxes or buy from the store.

Mine says it won't ship until 12/31/2013
Anyone get theirs?

That's exactly why I ordered both. Instead they went and shipped only one, in an envelope. They should realize its going to get crushed and charge more for shipping, if they have to cover the expense of a box. Toysrus is the only place that has ever sent me a Skylander in an envelope. They're lucky I didn't return it. As far as buying from the store, you must be joking. It is nearly impossible to do, unless you like camping out at the store. With all the damn scalpers scarfing up every last Skylander the day they come out, you have to wait months before they're stocked in the store again, if ever. |

Not really, in most areas Activision has really kept stock on the shelves. Thumpback and Eye Brawl are commonplace now (and have been since a couple weeks after they came out). I'm even finding Ninjini/Spyro/Wrecking Ball undisturbed on the shelves frequently. What you speak of sounds like last year, but not this go around. |

You are clearly speaking for yourself here. In my area Thump, Eye, Spyro, and Wrecking Ball are scarce. I already own them all except for Wrecking because I waited in line to get them when they were released.

I can buy that for Spyro and Wrecking Ball in your area, but Thumpback and Eye Brawl? Those haven't gone out of stock for most online retailers in over a month. I see them in every store I go to, and others have reported the same. |

Personally, I've been thinking lately we may never see LC Pop and Chill. I think stores only order based on what they run out of. My Walmarts, Best Buys, Targets, and Gamestops are clogged with wave 3 Lightcores. You can't really order more until those sell, and they seem to have stalled completely.
I mean, it's been two weeks now since the Facebook page has stated that LC Pop and Chill have been released and we haven't seen them at all. Kinda makes me wonder what's going on.

That's great that you can find what you want in the stores, but I'm done wasting my time going to six or seven stores finding nothing, over and over. The only time I have bought a Skylander on release is when I camped out in front of Toysrus for 3 hours before they opened. I when I did, the scalpers where there in force, buying every last one after the people in line got theirs. Clearly, you don't live where there are scalpers actively doing this at every store in the your area. |

Of course the vultures come out on the initial release. They do everywhere. That's only a problem if you want them the day they come out. I do, so I go to the store early. If I'm patient though, I could have waited a couple weeks and found them on the shelves easily. That's the thing I questioned about your post, you don't have to wait "months" to find them. Usually just a couple or three weeks and they are not hard to find, stock comes rolling in all the time at most of the major retailers.
And I think we will see the new Lightcores, but it really looks like TFB is going to have to shift some things around. No way will they be able to sell through a whole Wave of Lightcores to get to Hex (if she is in Wave 5). |

@defpally, you can doubt it all you want. The truth is that unless you're there the day they come in, you won't find them in the stores in my area. This holds true for the day they are released and the days they end up getting restocked. Of course, once the demand falls, you can get them, but like I said that is months down the road. I'm sure there are plenty of people that have experienced the same as I have.
I'm glad that you don't have any problems. I'd prefer to buy them locally, but the stores have allowed this to happen, so I purchase them on-line and put up with the crushed Skylanders, when I'm forced to buy a ToysRus exclusive. |

That's fine, but your area must be an unusual one. Who around here has trouble finding Thumpback or Eye Brawl? The only thing that could be considered "hard to find" at this point is Ninjini, Spyro and Wrecking Ball. And yet most people will admit those are merely "uncommon" not "impossible to find".
Yes there are areas that due to stocking or an overwhelming scalper population they will be much harder to locate. In those cases your best bet will have to be online if you choose to not show up early when something comes out. TRU and Gamestop both have shipping charges, but for as little as $25 in order you get free shipping from Amazon. All of the "uncommon" ones have been coming in and out of stock there for the past few weeks for retail price, shipped and sold by Amazon. Participating in a hobby that involves collecting something popular will ALWAYS involve a little bit more effort than simply going by the store when it is convenient. That is part of the deal. |

I'm with defpally on that. Thumpback and Eye Brawl were hard to snag for, oh, two weeks. A month after they began showing up, they were (and are) everywhere.

Very much so. Last weekend I was in TRU on Sunday. They had two Ninjini (and many other giants, including Thump and Eye) on the pegs. I asked the employee out of curiosity if the shipment had just come in (on a Sunday?). He said "Nope, they put all of those up on Friday". And this is at a decently busy TRU. |

I've seen Ninjini frequently at Best Buy. They've done well to keep up with the demand on Giants and singles, but I can't say the same when it comes to getting those new Lightcores out.

Got LLC in an envelope and it was in perfect condition, it's not TRU fault the postal service tosses them around.
BTW my pre-order for LC Pop Fizz say's hold until release date 3/8/2013. Jade Flashwing also came in an envelope and it was in perfect condition. |

It's not USPS's fault, it's TRU's fault for not shipping it in a manner that will protect the product. Those talking about taking an order with 2 items and stupidly ship one in an envelope and another in a box were true for me too. One time I ordered the same product on two orders and they totally shipped it (in my view) in a way that was more expensive and would've protected the product less. I called into their customer service line and said I had no problem returning damaged merchandise and demanded they note the account. They made no promises...however... Since then, EVERYTHING has been coming in a box. This is a big time pet peeve of mine...anyone who can't ship to protect the product they are selling should stop doing it. It doesn't cost THAT much more--I know because I buy boxes when I sell my comics which as you know are VERY sensitive to damage. Go to Uline.com and compare. They are saving pennies but creating disgruntled customers. Another pet peeve is when they take a 3 pack and jam it in the box sideways and wedge it so there's big time crease damage going in. Amazon doesn't do this, but I've seen Gamestop and TRU both do this.

The problem with the TRU.com's preorder for the figure is I did it with the sale and you can only preorder 1 of the LC Pop Fizz figures. I already got the LLC Chill I ordered with it and it did come in an envelope but it was ok. The LC Pop Fizz however has yet to leave the pre order stage it is in.

Taking that last ride through the sunset on skylanders. Hopefully a return of more classic spyro gameplay in the horizon. |
