you gonna quit skylanders?... if so it is understandable, the lack of online game play in the new up coming skylanders swap farce is noticeably. disney infinity have online and a lot of replay value after all....

I have already pre-ordered all the characters and play sets. My kid has been waiting for this for a long time now. Don't know if he will continue with Skylanders due to the very short game play, but knowing him, he will. Makes it easy for next X-mas

i think he will forget skylanders when he can play online with friends and create his own world in the game. then play his own created world with his friends online... it is like never ending giving. as i see it this new $wap farce by acti is a big mistake. but a new better skylanders4 that will be made by toys for bob will come in 2014. so a break in interest of skylanders after two good games dont hurt.

I'm torn on if I should get this for xbox 360 with the new consoles just around the corner. We dont have a Wii U and that seems the smartest system to get it for if I'm going to be buying figures for a console that's on the outs.

Seems like the delayed it because it was originally supposed to tie into Monsters University, but they probably didn't want people to be spoiled who got the game first.

When you pre-order, be sure to search Disney Infinity Cars so you can get the pack which doesnt show up (at least when I did it) with the other toys. FYI.

You know what's sad? Gamestop.com allows for the preorders of figures and playsets, but they still won't take preorders for upcoming Skylanders figures.

Not sure what the rationale behind them doing that. It might have been at the request of Infinity's folks to tell them to do it. I think they will likely do preorders for Swap Force...or one can hope. Or maybe they don't expect initial demand on Infinity to be as big as with Skylanders. I'd expect that preorders will sell out rather quickly however as there is probably a preorder limit count that the website is allowed to accept to prevent overflow.

Well, if Activision were smart, they'd make sure to allow preorders for Swap Force. People might flock to Infinity alone, because parents will know they won't have a hassle finding figures when they can just preorder.

I still enjoy the hunt...preorders are like cheating...I like a challenge
