Well my local target had 4 Jade Flashwings so I picked one up and had some other things to get and went to checkout. so when the girl rung up the jade flashwing she informed me that she can sell it to me that they are not to be put out till March 17? SO Im like there out and people bought them so she got some manager to come over and they even said sorry they weren't suppose to be put out till the 17th?

Yeah, they pulled them all because they are going to be in next weeks ad. So unless you got them before Thursday, I think, you will not be able to buy until March 17th.

Was informed by a Target employee about a memo the company received from Activision stating there displeasure with Target for letting Jade become available to early. Target apparently hit them back with a memo stating there was no street date and the boxes so now Activision is threatening a lawsuit. Take it for what you will from an employee....just the messenger here. Found it kind of funny,

That is an amazing amount of information for an average employee to have. They send all of their legal memos/threats down to the hourly staff?

More likely he doesn't know any more than the register says and was making stuff up or repeating what someone else made up.

False. Activision had nothing to do with Target putting the figures on a street date in the registers. There is a weekly ad for March 17th that supposedly has Jade Flashwing featured in it. So to keep supplies in stock for when the ad hits they had to put a hardlocked street date in the system for the Jade Flashwing DPCI.

This seems like a good excuse for a target employee to give to avoid the "oh but could you please sell one to me anyway??'

Agree...that's ridiculous. Activision could care less if Target sold a few thousand Jade Flashwings before they anticipated it being on shelves. The holding back on selling them until the 17th is entirely based on ensuring they have stock for the weekly ad.

One of my local Targets had a single Jade Flashwing on the pegs this morning, she was kept with the plush toys instead of the electronics section. Didn't pick her up since I prefer the original Flashwing personally (and who knows if they'd sell it anyway). Not sure if it shows in the pic, but her box was a little messed up and her paint job was pretty poor.

I'm very glad that I was able to purchase mine before all this occurred. The paint job for Jade Flashwing is fantastic; the paint wash over the crystal green is very effective!

Just confirming that they won't be on sale until March 17th in Target. Had one in my hand today and I went to check out...register had a "do not sell until 3/17" prompt...Grrrr. They will stock them early Sunday morning.
