I have a backwards compatible older version PS3 and when I start the game up, it boots up, but the menu is non-existant. Every other game I've put onto it so far works brilliantly.
Does anybody know how to make it work on an older PS3?

You may have a PS3 with backwards compatibility, but typical Sony hasn't really stated that some games only work for it. I've got a couple of PS and PS2 games that work for it, but not as well as on the PS2. Like for an example, when I perform an action on the controller, it goes out of sync, and the action actually happens like three seconds later, and whenever a cutscene occurs, the whole thing basically goes out of sync, and it seems to take longer to load aswell, and the last time I did it, the system crashed, so now I'm not going to bother with it anymore. I'll just stick to my good old PS2 for older games now.
