ok i was watching 8bitgamer play skylanders nighmare mode in lost city of arkus he places empires of ice and it started to hail and made a huge shockwave at the end i din't know there were like useful items

Yeah, all 4 are. Like the Pirate Seas ship "rains" cannon balls. They're all functionally the same, a very short time of raining death, ending in an explosive damage of 999. It's very much like Anvil Rain, except Anvil Rain lasts longer and doesn't have the big damage ending.

After I first got them, I loaned them to my nephews to add to their SSA before I found out they had use after adding the level to the game, LOL!

If you use magic items, ALWAYS keep them handy to pull out during big fights. They were VERY useful during some of the more difficult arena rumble challenges!

^ they aren't talking about magic items. They're talking about the adventure lacks level figures. Like the empire of ice and dark light crypt and so on.

After their initial use, adding the levels to the game, making them available to play in the Chapter Select, they essentially ARE Magic Items: They have an in-game effect that can only be used once per level, or rather per playthrough. As far as I know most people call them Magic Items, as do I.

I found them rather useful for the final battle, actually, for when I did my speed run, to defeat Kaos quickly.

My comparing them to Anvil Rain is rather apt, actually... Along with AR, all 5 items are roughly the same Magic Item, effect-wise.

Even though they are buildings rather than small personal items like shields or shoes, they are most useful for their spell effects.

As far as I know, the only item with no effect (besides an unlock) is the Volcanic vault.

ALL of the other ones help in a fight in some way.
