I guess I'm just trying to see if I should give up hoping he'll be there one of these days.

I keep seeing people post about how there are plenty of red Drill Sergeants at Walmart just sitting on the shelves. But over the past month, I've been visiting seven different Walmarts in my area and have never seen him. GitD Sonic Booms are aplenty however. Is it just a few particular Walmart that still have him, or could it just be that my area is wiped out? I live in the San Francisco bay area, so it is fairly densely populated.

eBay is your best bet. They sell for much less than normal.

He "vanished" from shelves for awhile and is starting to appear back on store shelves now. You can probably search ebay and get one for at cost or even slightly below.

Thanks for the information guys! I'm not a hardcore collector so it's a little out of the way for me to order him off eBay. But I do enjoy going Skylanders hunting, so I'll continue to keep an eye out just in case.

Wal-Mart has done a good job (too good of a job in some eyes) of keeping their exclusives in stock. I was not into the game when they had the exclusive on reg drill, but I didn't have any problem finding him either.

I see them pop up in Walmarts every now and again. Try stores in particular areas where there's either a not a lot of people, or an area where kids wouldn't be plentiful (ie, really rich neighborhoods or relatively poor areas)

My Walmart has to have at least 30 of them on the shelves. It's understandable though, as Drill Sergeant is unpopular as it is, and one that's all red doesn't look very nice.

They pop up on Amazon sometimes for $9.99 + shipping (via third party sellers). I do still see them sporadically on Wal-Mart shelves in Charlotte.
Also, at least two of these red Drills sold today on Ebay for less than $12 USD (shipping cost included).
