I was messing around on this game, got bored and started looking up glitches. I found this glitch on YouTube and it really does defy the laws of science

Pretty awesome, though before trying it SAVE THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!! It took a few tries for me, couple times I went too high and fell in the water to swim, once I somehow got into the other lake, but I did it

Even before reading your post - this is video game. There is no science there.
You can save game after doing the glitch, as you are going to appear somewhere else after loading game (I think). PS. Use this Youtube link instead of one you used: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uRN8Q4Bn9Hc It's the same video

my favorite Spyro 2 glitch was in Summer Forest, when you swim in the air

Spyro abides by his own laws of physics.

Considering Spyro can swim in the air (even in Aquaria Towers, a water level) and somehow goes higher if he charges at the top of his jump, I think it's safe to say Avalar has unique physics. ^.^
