I can't stand nightmare mode, that the enemies can kill be in 1-2 hits and I don't enjoy playin it. Expecialy while trying to level up my characters. On topic if you beat nightmare do you get the knights helm on all saves or just the nightmare one?

Just the Nightmare save.

Darn, so it was pointless to find all collectibles on a normal difficulty save?

Not really... I just load my Nightmare save when I want to put the Knight's Helm on someone, and use my other save for everything else. I just find it really bites that my fully completed save can never have that final hat. smilie I didn't bother getting 3 stars or anything on Nightmare, I just got through it. Okay, I DID buy all the hats and Skystones and badge things (the "Fight trolls easier", "Fight robots easier", "Giants lift faster", those things, forget what they're called) again, LOL!

Ok that stinks, I though you got the knight helm onslaught saves once you beat nightmare. Oh we'll ill just fight through nightmare as boring as it is.

It helps to kind of look at it from the other angle--i.e. constantly getting offed by Nightmare mode enemies can get frustrating; which isn't exactly fun.

i think people just aren't used to playing defensively. People just want to spam some mass damage AoE skill and gather up the loot

I'm 13 (if that matters) and I dont like getting killed with one skylander, then switching and instantly getting killed because I can't walk out of the circle of enemies. It's more fun to be to have a challenge (medium or hard) then constantly getting killed and forced to wait to play my fav character.

then you need to use some strategy, every move in the game from enemies can be dodged, and if you get yourself into a situation where you're surrounded by enemies then you should be punished for making that mistake, the other difficulties are there if you dont like it and the knight helm is there as a reward for those who stick with it.

and age shouldnt matter at least at your age, i know there will be a lot of 13 year olds that are better at this game then i am...but id never admit that to their face >.<#

im currently working through getting 3 stars for each nightmare difficulty, getting through the first 9 chapters ive had overall not much trouble getting through them and achieving no lives lost, so long as you dont just barrel through the levels spamming attack and charging forward its not too difficult, i expect the later levels to be a good challenge though.

the whole premise to this just reeks to me of entitlement, 'if its too hard for me they should change the game to suit me, i shouldnt have to try harder/get better to get a reward.'

Age doesn't matter...?

On the other hand, you can have strategy and still die, if one hit can kill you. Which isn't really cool, once you die the enimies swarm around you while you are dead and when you spawn back in they instantly kill you, you can't even hit a button before you die.

me getting old was referring to my way of thinking, the age shouldnt matter remark was relating to how skilled you need to be to play the game.

context.

also, there are very few..in fact...zero i believe, monsters that can kill you in 1 shot, if 2-3 hit you at once and theyre the big sword guys...or the tree dudes that send out underground twigs then its possible, but it still takes 10-20 hits from chompies or 5-10 if theyre troggs etc, unless you are a lvl 1-5 character, in which case id recommend leveling them up before they take on nightmare, especially if theyre your 'favorite'

Yeah, I had that experience a few times when I was working through Nightmare... I do tend to agree that when one (or more often, two) hits kill you, there's not much strategy available. I actually do tend to use a lot of strategy, keeping my distance when possible to deal with one enemy at a time... And it's true. Nearly every enemy centers on you (except for Bag 'O Boom, the robot version of him and mages... Those are the ones I can think of right now, anyway), so when you change to another character, they might be doomed too unless they're a Lightcore, and even then the Lightcore Boom (whatever it's called) won't work on anything strong enough to kill you in one or two hits.

On the big group fights I tended to go through 5 or 6 guys, and yes, again, I played strategically. But no matter how careful you are, you can always get clipped.

Bingo! On hard mode even I've had to plan my attacks---on earlier levels its way too easy to spam the attack button and sit in one place.

Yeah I call that bad design. What they should do is have an enemy "startle" effect when a new skylander comes in game so you have a fighting chance.
