I searched around and wasn't able to find the answer to my question, On the box and poster and anything else I've seen the air characters Jet-Vac and Jet-Vac Light Core as separate characters do they count as two separate characters or are they one and the other is just a variant. I don't care about the variants really but I do want to have one of all of the characters. Thank you.

Yes, they count as seperate characters. Nothing new unlocked in game but it will up your collection and they show different on your collection.

The answer is both Yes and No.. They are different characters in the fact that the Game recognizes both of them, one as the normal Jet Vac and the other as Lightcore Jet Vac. The Lightcore one glows in the game at the same places the physical toy does. However, the Lightcore Jet Vac unlocks the same Heroic Challenge as does the normal Jet Vac.

So Yes the game does see them as two separate characters, but you won't get anything extra unlocked from having both of them. Hope this helps!

Main difference is that as with any Lightcore when you first put one on it gives off a "lightcore bomb" and will damage or blow up any boxes near by also.
