It keeps getting overshadowed by Mario Kart.

Which is a shame because Super Mario Kart had HORRENDOUS AI and gave them blatant advantages like special moves and free star power ups.

F-Zero X suffered the same fate by Mario Kart 64 which still suffered from the problems of its predecessor. F-Zero X had a great artstyle and amazing soundtrack.

The latest entry F-Zero GX stood out to be the pinnacle of arcade racing perfection. It is THE definitive F-Zero title. Unfortunately this time, it's high degree of difficulty ended up putting a lot of people off. And of course there was Mario Kart Double Dash (which was definitely the best of the series and is still better than MK Wii)
