Ok, I bought HotHead the giant.
When I put him on the portal Hot Dog shows up! But he is called "Hot Head"?!?

I get a perfectly playable Hot Dog, who I didn't have and its fun for a minute or two, but, I wanted Hot Head!

This figure was new from the shop still sealed not opened and now I have no idea what to do with him.

Suggestions?

Are you sure the figure is right?
Also, you should get refunded, go to the shop you bought that or contact Activision

Hot Dog and Hot Head look very different. Yes I am sure, the box/figure are Hot Head, the NAME on the game is Hot Head.
The actual in game character is Hot Dog

You need a topic for this?......take it back to the store or contact activision.....pretty simple!

Take it back to the store? Not really an option when my son tore the box open and its a supermarket not a game store.
They don't understand that the toy "doesn't work properly" because, "It's not broken, looks fine to me."

I've emailed Activision but no reply as yet.

I was hoping there was some way to reset or fix the figure
I Can't afford to buy another Hot Head without knowing I will get money back on this one, so now we just can't play him!

If you know the excitement a 7 year old boy has at the arrival of his favourite Giant, and the disappointment at getting the wrong character in game you will understand why I want to resolve this quickly...

They are not cheap here, £15 ($22.50) for Hot Head. I paid the same for Swarm (who is now $9!!! but still £15/$22 here).

I just turned it on to take picture and he works now...

Maybe a temporary glitch in the game??? Oh well! Happy child!

If it happens again I will take pictures. I am even more confused now as to what happened! Oh well, all is well that ends well.

Well this must be a factory error when they were placing the rfd chips in the figs.THey must have put hot dog in your hot head.It would sell for a lot on ebay to collectors of factory errors but of course they would need pics.Ypu will need pics of it if you don't want to get 'pics or it did not happen' from people.

I don't believe it happened myself now!

I turned everything off before, now when I load it up it's all back to normal.
Very strange indeed.

Anybody that says I am making this up? I don't blame you! I would be suspicious too. Not a lot I can say. I created an account here just to ask for help, seems a reboot fixed it.

I promise to take pics if it happens again.

You should totally sell it on eBay.
