_I_ merely checked the game... Loading up my Nightmare game, checking the stats on one then the other. smilie

As has been said, no. The Knight's Helm is better. But ignoring the fact that Knight's Helm boosts all 4 stats and the Gold Top Hat only boosts 3, the numbers aren't far off.

Basically my philosophy has been, if a character earned the Gold Top Hat, they get it. Showing off my "medal" as it were makes up for the loss in stats. I don't ever need the boosts anyway, so I figure I can take the hit.
