Does the giants 3ds starter pack ever go on sale, like less than $40? I really want punch pop fizz but don't have a 3ds so I can't justify paying $60-$75 for one figure. If its on sale now or in the future can you guys post below so me and some other portal masters can nab one?

I've only ever seen them go for as low as 40.

Do you think that's a good price to pay for someone that doesn't have a 3ds?

They're going to go down from now till S:SF. That's how I got my S:SA for PS3, as it was $40, last February. Just keep an Eye on the Toys R Us Webpage, or the Weekly Ads that come out in the Sunday Newspaper.

i got mine in NZ at clearance for $49 (considering its RRP is $139 it was amazing )

i do have a 3ds..but i barely play the 3ds version..feels very held back by the console..graphics are terrible..normally i dont care for graphics but when it gets to a point of the entire game looking 'fuzzy' its just not enjoyable to play

The 3DS version of Giants is actually disappointing IMO. The 3DS vesion of SA was awesome though.

Really? I thought the 3DS version of Giants took everything great out of SSA and made it better.

I bought mine for $40, though this was around Black Friday. I had the Walmart GitD Cynder from the console version so only really had a Tree Rex as duplicate. (Sold the game and portal for $20)

I think TRU has them on sale for 54 this week. Could buy it and sell the rest on ebay. Probably the best way to go or just buy it on ebay.

The 3DS version is fun - if you liked the first game. It doesn't run as well, frame rate isn't as high - so best to play it in 2D mode, it moves a little smoother. They made several improvements, they got rid of that stupid Hektore mode that all levels went into after getting all of the goals, the timed thing where you couldn't just play the levels and explore. As a matter of fact, Hektore and the rest of the characters from the first went away, you now have the same NPCs as the console game, Flynn, etc.

Also, levels as more wide open and much longer. You also have a few bosses in the game, although nothing amazing. It is a fun game, but not nearly as good as the console one.

One word of warning, some characters don't work very well at all in it, notably characters that "lob" their projectiles (like Shroomboom and Pop Fizz). Most enemies charge you when they see you, so hitting them with potions from Punch Pop Fizz can be annoying. Melee characters work much better.

And it does go on sale, like for $20 off at TRU right now. I got mine around Thanksgiving for a good price at Best Buy after a Walmart price match (it was $45 at the time) and some Reward Zone coupons so it ended up being about $25.

I got mine at Walmart for $38 during Thanksgiving. Took out Punch Pop Fizz and sold the rest for $35........$3 for Punch I though was pretty sweet.

What's so special about Punch Pop Fizz? He's exactly the same besides him being red instead of blue.

Absolutely nothing special about him, I think his stats are even the same. He is a recognized variant though, and he shows up in game as red, unlike the "Special" variants. He is like Dark Spyro.

Got mine at Walmart for $38 for black Friday. Considering I have both the wii and 3DS it was a good snag.

I encourage anyone else who may have multiple consoles to get one version (probably the home console) on launch and wait for black Friday sales to get the other

after christmas i got mine for $50 then kept punch pop fizz and the regular cynder (since i only had GITD) and re sold the package with stealth elf, GITD sonic boom, spyro and trigger (all doubles) for $60.

It was recently $34 if you took advantage of the recent Target sale that Amazon matched...now everything is super expensive again. Sigh...

If you can get it for less than $40, that's good, you get three characters and they're all pretty good.

Begged my mom to death to drive me to Target ( dad was at buissness trip ) only to have no 3ds packs left. Should have checked amazon... Gosh darn it!

yeah, I got my 3ds for $34 which is just $5 more than what you have to pay just for Punch Pop Fizz on eBay. I'll stock up more next time that price is offered.
