I began collection when Giants came out so I was originally planning on getting 24 Series 2, 8 Newlanders, and 8 Giants. Well I have 23/40 of those skylanders right now plus Granite Crusher. I really want to try Bouncer's other upgrade path, the rocket path. My regular bouncer is on the gun path. So are legendaries like Bouncer, Chill, Jet-Vac (ie. the ones that can't swich paths) worth buying? Or should I just use that money towards SWAP force? I plan on getting 16 SWAP, 16 Newlanders, 8 Forgotten Skylanders.

If you really want to collect them go ahead.

Before I answer your question, I've got a question of my own. What exactly is a "Forgotten Skylander"?

Yeah I've heard some guy say it in an interview. He referred the 8 unreposed as forgotten skylanders.

I'd say the Legendaries are mostly worth it if you get the opportunity to get one, and if you like the base character already.

Ah, okay. As for your question, it's totally up to you. If you have the money and want to spend it, then why not? As for me, I only buy legendaries if they look cooler than the original. For example, I have Legendary Bouncer over the normal Bouncer because I think he looks cooler.

I have the giants legendaries only because I thought they looked better than the regular ones. So I got them INSTEAD of the regular ones, not IN ADDITION to the regular ones.
I really don't see a need for both unless you're a completist

Alright thanks for the feedback. I probably won't have the money for Bouncer because I'm saving $300 for a AC3 PS3 bundle. I have 17 more giants figures and 40 SWAP figures to get. Rather have a new character than a repaint of a one I already have.

I have both ,but only because i got reg bouncer for $6 at jcp after xmas, stelth elf i got with some other for 1/2 off and i like how she looks, the leg 3 pack of giants cause i got it for $15 2 days ago , a TRU near me had it on markdown to $20 and the $5 off this week on top of it. I got the spyro adventure one cause i needed a spyro and liked how leg spyro looked. Trigger happy i just love so ya i got him. Little furby dude with guns lol.

I think the legendary color scheme is better. Or if two people like the same character it's good to have the legendary and regular fig.

depends if want to collect the base figures, base+ingame variants or hardcore base+ingame+special variants. also depends mostly on your budget.

Collecting wise, yes they are. Just plain gameplay? No. Or if you prefer the legendary look of a particulat character, thrn go for it. Its not like you're paying extra. Just the added job of locating one if your TRU is a pain the butt in getting stock. Like mine. But when it comes to legendaries, they will get the stock. So its really up to you. I really like L-Steal Elf's look more than normal but I may get the normal anyway. And I don't think it will hurt the accolade achievement. Sorry kinda rambled. Lol.

The Giants Legendaries are good but the SSA ones were insanely over powered. Legendary Bash is laughably powerful & it's no contest between him & other Skylanders. Like a user posted, we bought the Legendaries instead of the regular figurines. Made the most sense to us.

I end up getting both. I am a collector, however. It is really up to you. If you are thinking about one over the other I would go with the legendarys.

I only got the SSA three pack because it was free from TRU last year. I like them, but they are not that special.

Not worth it.

I'm avoiding all legendaries. THere are so many characters now, that I'd rather have only 1 of each guy in my collection.
