What is going to happen with the regular skylanders? At the end of GIANTS didn't KAOS look up and say MOTHER? Why would you come out with a whole new different concept of a game when it seems that the original isn't even finshed! Are the originals going to work with swap force or we going to be forced to by a skylanders 3 and swap force.

as they have said old figures can be played with the new game and even just with SF starter pack you can beat the whole game. more SF figures will give you access to diff zones and elemental gates thus longer gameplay.

I believe Swap Force will be kind of a side story and it will be developed by a new developer (in order to give Toys For Bob more time to work on the next game in this series).

Toys For Bob will pick the current story back up in its game (probably the Fall 2014 game).

I feel like each Skylanders console game is just an expansion on the mythos (and the battle against Kaos). Not that this is the end, per-say, but that this is definitely an end of the era.
