Hey guys, I've been the user of this forum for a short while now and I haven't ever noticed a thread about my problem so here it is:
I have Skylanders Giants on the PS3 and I had two save files, one was my main file on medium difficulty with all hats, nicknames etc and the other was my completed nightmare file. I had just started getting 3 stars on the first few levels the other day and decided to turn my PS3 off, when I turned it back on all of my saved files were gone! I was outraged as I had spent so long getting all the soul gems, hats, treasures and now I had to start again! My question is has this happened to you? If so, is there anyway I can get my files back? Thank you.

Anyways, it most likely has something to do with the PS3's memory, not the game itself.

From what I've seen, there's a lot of similarities between the XBox and the PS3, so maybe it's this: On my XBox, my save games are under one profile. If I start the game with the second controller, on a Guest profile I created, Skylanders (either one) suddenly has NO save games! I panicked until this occurred to me and I exited the game, starting it with the FIRST controller and my saves were back.

Might it be something like that, that you're simply in the wrong profile? I know PS3 has profiles, so this seems like a real possibility. Maybe you did all your playing on one profile, and the PS3 automatically starts in another?
