Usually I buy 2 sets of each figure. The single pack and the 3 pack. I open the 3 packs and collect the singles unopened. However between the light cores only what is more collectible? Between the single packs of eruptor, prism Beal and drobot single packs with their motto on them or the target 3 pack which should I open? Or just buy a 3rd St of the new packaging with names only and ooen them? Lol. I know singles are usually better for collecting but since the 3 pack is a target exclusive and the new single packs have their names only I'm confused.

Target seems to be a neat collectable since it has the Target Exclusive on it. If I had the money, I'd get a set to keep in the box, and then get a set as well in singles with the new stickers. (that would be for Prism, Drobot, Eruptor and Jet-Vac mostly) and a third set to open the figures.

I dunno if that'd be viable for you though.

I guess my question would be why do you want to open them? Are you collecting and displaying them once opened or actually playing with them? If you're NOT playing with them, then why do you need to open them at all... unless of course it's for visual display.

Of course, as I'm sure you know, you could always play with them in box on the portal.

As I stated in another thread, based upon what I've seen at my stores, I think the version with small font and catch phrases are the rarest of them all. I could be wrong, but that's what I've observed. As a collector that's what I would collect. I also think that the Target Exclusive 3 pack is worth collecting as well, but they seem to be more readily available the last time I was at Target.

I agree here with DluA. For the single packs of Lightcores the rarest ones seem to be the ones with the smallest type font and the catch phrases.

Thanks for the info. I'm eventually just going to get a 3rd Set I guess. Sorry for the typos I'm not use to this Galaxy note 2 yet and I was driving. I open one set bc I don't want to have to drag out a box each time I play and have boxes everywhere which increases the chances of it being damaged (stepped on, etc.). Plus when I travel to a friends or out of town is easier to have a set out of the box. I keep them in a stack ems box right now but if I did ever decide to display them it would just be for easier access. I wouldn't want to make some huge shrine. Something small and simple and space saving would be fine with me but I haven't seen anything online that would meet those needs. Most of the smaller displays have been made on here by other posters. To bad noone sells a nice display that doesn't take up the whole room. The only other option would be to buy like 25 of those coliseum displays from TRU and that would end up taking up a ton of room. I guess it's impossible to save space with all these skylanders.

I guess I don't get the appeal of those particular three figures as playable figures in SG. I don't find them that different than the figs from SSA, and would just trend to leave them packaged I guess.

Do you use the swype texting feature on your Note? Sometimes the words it predicts are pretty funny...
