They expect us to fight that lava boss in the first level!?! I could say first level because there's instructions and everything else.

They could have just addad that, and it seems the Lava boss appears later after watching the Extended interview with Elijah. And it seemed pretty easy and it only took a few minutes to defeat it...

they may not have defeated it, that may have just been the first round, like having the yelow,orange and red health bars.
