I seem to have a topic gone missing...?

I had a topic announcing the exclusivity of Molten Hot Dog at Walmart and cannot find it.

I wanted to go in and add the UPC for Molten Hot Dog to the topic now that I have managed to get it, but cannot find the topic. Is there a glitch that the topic has disappeared?

Check other sections, it could have been moved.

Which topic was this? Is this the topic that just said "trust me" on the first post?

Yeah, it had "You'll just have to trust me on this one." in the OP and further in the topic, we discussed reasons as to why I was right.

Today, I managed to get a hold of the UPC for the figure - that anyone can take into their local Walmart and ask their friendly clerk to punch into their handheld to get the description and to prove me right.

Oh, and I was going to be able to answer some other burning questions folks had, like if it was going to be a stand-alone figure or a bundle pack...

You didn't exactly provide much information on the original topic. The topic had been reported multiple times and, considering you had only posted "You'll have to trust me on this", I thought the reports were pretty valid and so removed the topic - did you not get the moderated message?

You could have waited until you got the UPC to post the topic and this wouldn't have happened. However, you're free to post it again if you have the information now.

No, I received no such notification that I had been moderated.

Is it in the rules somewhere that you have to have a UPC before posting a news topic?

As for not posting more than "You'll have to trust me on this", assuming you're an adult, you do understand that sometimes, folks can't just give away their sources, correct? Jobs and livelyhoods can depend on not putting names to news like this.

As for posting it again... 'meh. Not sure I really want to, if this is how my news is going to get treated around here.

I've *NEVER* posted false information and when I have posted stuff, it has always turned out to be true (an example would be in that same topic where I pointed out posting about the Walmart exclusive GitD bundles in the US before anyone else knew anything).

Oh well, I know I was correct and I guess, now on, I'll take my advance news elsewhere where it is wanted.

There was obviously a general consensus that the topic you posted didn't provide enough information to be considered valid as there were a relatively large number of reports on your topic. I'm doing my job.

If you weren't prepared to give away your source, then you should have just waited until you were ready, that's the simple solution if anything like this happens again. I apologise for the misunderstanding, but I'm just doing my job in trying my best to make sure my section of the forum is a slightly better place to be on. If 1 post out of the 100+ posts that I have removed in the last week was incorrectly removed then that's still a pretty good success rate, and sometimes mistakes are made.

However, as mentioned, you didn't exactly make it easy to decided whether or not your post should remain on the forum since you posted so very little about what you were claiming. You may have a positive history of posting correct information but if by the chance you were lying and I hadn't removed the topic because you had a positive history, that wouldn't have been fair.

UncleBob, it seems you've found the hospitality of hunters and mods.
Deleting every single message that slightly doesn't feel good to them as trolling.

On the other hand, you say you've NEVER posted false information, but it's not like you have a file here that shows your reputation and habits. Bionicle doesn't know who you are and what you do.

Okay, this topic has been addressed and taken care of. Thanks bionicle and dark. You can delete or close this topic now, I don't want it to turn into a gripe fest about the new hunters. They're going to have a hard enough time finding their footing here without such a topic.
