What do you guys think? I am four levels into it and finding it no more challenging than the second hardest difficulty level. I would think since it is something you have to unlock they would make it a bit harder. I also think they might have thought they made it harder, but by the time you play through the game once your Skylanders are at least halfway leveled up and therefore are able to take/deal more damage thereby negating the little bit of extra hardness they put into it.

Do you think I'm nuts?

Duh, the first 4 levels are supposed to be easy. The REAL difficulty comes in Glacier Gully and Onward.

I finished normal story by myself with a small amount of characters. (Spyro, Gill Grunt, Trigger Happy, Tree Red, Jet-Vac, S2 Cynder, Hot Head, Dino Rang triple pack) It was pretty easy, although my first skylanders game. Then this morning I played with my dad, now he isn't your video game guy. Everybody in my collection was dead by the end of rumble town between the stealth elf ambush and the arena. If you are playing with someone who isn't a gamer, it's really challenging.

Pps sold all green base figs except for 4 I have that aren't reposed, but those will be sold if they make it back in Skylanders 3

The game isn't really too bad in terms of what you have to do- simply getting through the levels and completing it. We've pretty much got near unlimited lives considering each figure is kind of a "life". I think one of the biggest challenges is getting through and not dying once in the level. I'm already having trouble with that on Cutthroat Carnival and I've got every single one of my characters fully upgraded and on Level 15. 0___o

It really makes you consider what you have to do in the level. You can't just blindly rush in and smash stuff, especially since doing something like that can result in enemies getting cheap kills on you.

I did that level earlier with level 2 zap and level 4 hot dog..........

Lol yah, Target exclusive, gotta spend $20 or more on skylanders merch.

Wasn't too hard, tried using only 3 Giants ( ) and 6 Orange Base Skylanders ( ). Succeeded on every level, except for Lair of Kaos, where I had to use 2 S:SA Skylanders.

I'm waiting for more skylanders to come out before I play through nightmare. That way I actually have a chance to use more then what came out on release day...as this game was way too easy even on hard.

Nightmare was too easy for me.

They need to allow an extra set of options for Nightmare in game 3. They need to allow you to go through the game with no xp gained and minimal to no food. I think they should also make it that if your Skylander dies, it can no longer be used on that save file.

That would pose a slightly better challenge for my tastes.

Yeah, i would also like new areas in nightmare, so you would explore new places instead if boringly replaying the level.

I agree they should make it more difficult, but maybe not 'kill' skylanders off the save file. I reckon they should limit how many skylanders can die each level, instead of the player being able to use their entire collection. Minimal to no food, yes. And maybe only allow Lvl 15 Skylanders to be played as, giving more incentive to level up your Skylanders.

People keep forgetting that even in nightmare mode there's an automatic difficulty setting, the lowest level is your Skylander, the easiest it will be, if you really want to have some fun, use your Skylanders that are at lvl15

There is? Never noticed that. Where has this automatic setting been addressed?

remember guys this game caters to kids mostly so i suppose its gona be easy this games is for you and kids to have fun thats their primary goal. if your really up to the challenge why dont you reset your characters you want,start at lvl 1, dont use any hats and dont upgrade any spells at all then finish the game. this will probably be difficult on a part but will most likely be doable. stream this and ill prolly subscribe to you and watch you plow your way to the very last boss.

Yeah, the game is for kids, but I figured they included a "nightmare" mode for us adults that love playing. I guess that was wishfull thinking I have not reset one character from the first game or giants....now if you were to start with all level 1 characters, your whole set would be decimated quite quickly I would assume. I don't know if I could bring myself to reset them, though.

I have selected one Skylander from each element in series 2. I will start nightmare mode with just these eight Skylanders and use no other. They are all level 1 and unplayed. I will use no items and spend no gold from any of my other Skylanders. I want to see how difficult this really is.

Now I just have to complete the game with my daughter first. We are on chapter 15.
