I've had very little luck when it comes to the Sparkle and Snow ones.

Lol, if I were into the chase variants, calling is the LAST thing I would do. All it does is tip them off and even if they do find them, they will probably buy it themselves. You would have to find just the right balance of disinterest and not being aware of the fuss around them, and then they probably tell other employees who would grab it. If one manages to make it to the shelves, the less attention drawn to it before you get there the better.

Literally, the only guy that said they got a variant in was the same guy that unpacked my Clear Stealth Elf.

As a result of so many stores getting Eye Brawl and Thumpback yesterday, we checked out around a dozen different stores as well. The main focus was 'snow' variants, as we arrived at most stores to find an unpacked skid of boxes (and didn't want to hang around while they unpacked 'em). Asked the guy at one Walmart, and he fortunately found a white Eruptor and white Stump Smash!! I WAS SO HAPPY! So is my daughter! There very well could've been 'glitter' or 'rock' variants or something entirely new, but when an employee is searching through boxes for you...can't exactly list of a dozen things to look for! lol

I agree with the person who said calling is the W-O-R-S-T idea, it does tip them off to the variation and then they tend to look into them or put them aside to purchase. I can't count how many store employees during Spyro's Adventure would put the variants on the shelf. I'd buy them, then they'd ask questions while I purchased and I was stupid enough to explain them. Not doing that this time, I'll outright lie sometimes "I guess its a new version like the Glow Sonic Boom Walmart got".

I called all the TRU's in Victoria, Australia and one of them had a Glitter Hot Head 4 days ago. It was quite far though, but it would've been worth it!
