(Just to note, there is another topic for this, but it hasn't had any activity in a few months, and I don't bump anyone's topics aside my own )
Wouldn't it be cool if there was an app for all the various Spyro game guides available here at darkspyro.net? Then we could use our phones and not need to open a Wi-Fi connection to see how to beat that darned boss, that epic hat, that secret area, etc.
One idea would be for the app to start out blank, then you could open a wi-fi connection and download whichever game guides you'd want, to conserve memory.
I imagine that this shouldn't be too hard to code, mostly just text and images, and if the above idea was implemented, that too.

There could also be a forum app, but this wouldn't be as practical (as it is a bit harder to type on a tiny phone screen), and would be much harder to code.

Anyone else want this? Any ideas or feedback?

Just make a mobile version of the site. Easier and cheaper than making an App

You can go on the site with safari. No need for a whole new app.

At least from what I've seen.

The first time I saw one of these topics Dark asked why he should do it. After that I haven't seen anything with him saying that it was rejected, unless I missed something.

I've done this on my Ipad thing, but it's a bit different so I wouldn't be much help.

OK, at least a mobile site. All my Android browsers have problems displaying the pages.

I go on here on my ipod all the time. No problem. I find it easy. just zoom when you want to click something it's fine.

Much appreciated if done.

The buttons/links are quite annoying to use on iOS devices.

Well Apple users can get on as well. The problem is that we touch the wrong links accidentally. It's also harder to upload pictures or use any of the codes. Except quote. Quoting is easy since it's done for you.

I can use DS too, I just would prefer a mobile version.

I can see the point of this idea. Doomslicer wants a walkthrough, not a mobile site. To go on the site, you need wifi. A walkthrough app could be accessed on the bus or anywhere.

Uhm, no you don't need WiFi? iDevices and Android can and WILL use mobile data for internet if you don't have a WiFi conection. Thus you can browse the website on the go.

Yeah, but why not ask dark to make a word doc or something that you can download? 100000x easier and then you have the guide on whatever device and no need for apps.

Remember you need a mac to make iOS apps and it costs to put on the store.

That would be nice i guess.
