Simply beat each of the 16 levels getting 3 stars on each.

You also have to get all hats, all soul gem, have all orange base characters, story scrolls, beat all the battle arenas, three stars on all levels. A 100% is a lot of work. Lol. Challenging too. Good luck portal master.

Simple, collect everything in the chapters scrolls treasure etc, when you've done that and within the time etc you will have 3 stars on each chapter then you'll be 100% complete.
It will probably take you loads of attempts to beat the time on each chapter but you'll get there.
You don't need to do all the battle arenas and have every orange base to 100% the game.
My son completed it last night and he hasn't done any arenas yet and only has 23 orange base characters.
Good luck.

You don't need the variants do you? I didn't need them to achieve 100% in the last game.

Nope. Like I said, simply getting 3 stars one each level is all you need. That results in you getting all the legendary treasure, all the chests, completing the level etc etc.

And you DON'T need all Skylanders. A user named GASSA already has 100%.

Yup. According to my image's data, I took this pic sometime around Nov 25th, but I had gotten it much earlier than that.

Sandstorm and Spyroflame are correct. In order to get the save file to say 100% all you need is 3 stars on all 16 main levels. This does require getting all treasure chests, soul gems, story scrolls and beating all in game time trials. You don't need to worry about HC's, arenas, pvp, or quests to complete 100%.

This can be done with as few as 8 skylanders. You need to have at least one figure from all elements at least one giant and at least one normal sized figure to complete 100%. It would also help if one of these selected figures had a dash attack or flying ability to complete the speed challenges easier but this is not a requirement.

For those who are saying that you need every character...does this include the lightcore version, etc...or just one version of the character?

I believe its one of each character. I don't think the "special" figures count.

You don't need them for 100%. But you still get a trophy for collecting them all.

You don't get anything for collecting them all.

I think what Wumbo is referring to are the accolades for collecting 8,12,16,24,32,and 40 orange based skylanders. There is also an accolade for collecting all 8 Giants, one non-starter figure, and the trio of Gilgrunt, Spyro and Triggerhappy.

The accolade seems to include any distinct orange based figure meaning if you placed Pop-Fizz, LC Pop-FIzz and Punch Pop-Fizz on the portal it would count as three towards your count.

All those people saying you don't need all Skylanders are correct. You just need to get 3 stars on every chapter to get 100% completion.

To get the Grand Admiral accolade you need to have 40 orange based skylanders, including all 8 giants, you need to have completed all 21 arena battles, have completed 20 heroic challenges with 1 skylander (sooooooooo much easier than Spyro's Adventure where you have to complete all 32 with 1 character). You also have to have found 85 hats etc.

The Grand Admiral accolade doesn't mean that you're a better player than anyone else, it just means that TFB and Activision have sucked you into buying a HEAP of skylanders.

To get 3 stars on every chapter you have to play each one at least twice. Once going around finding everything (sometimes things are hard to find and I had to do the same chapter over and over again) and then at least once to finish each chapter under a certain time. To do this you avoid any enemies you can and just use a really fast skylander.

I have completed 100% on the Hard level and just completed 100% on the Nightmare level. Nightmare is not much harder, but it took me FOREVER to complete chapter 14 I am a really, really bad pilot.

I thing I could probably get 100% completion on any level now using my 2 Stealth Elfs (by far the best character in the game), and a Giant. I might need an extra character or two to defeat Kaos and finish his chapter in under 8:50.

Ok question please, I havent played giants yet (still trying to get 100% on spyros adventure). For the grand admiral accolade that you speak of, can I register e.g legendary bouncer and would that count for having a bouncer? And same with having the lighgcores instead of the normal forms? Thanks

Answering this question is making it clear how many separate and distinct features tis game has.

The Grande Admiral accolade is received after unlocking all 22 other accolades in the game. If an accolade is character specific like the collect all 8 giants or collect the original three (Spyro, Gillgrunt, Triggerhappy) the version of the character does not matter. Legendary Bouncer will act as the Bouncer required to unlock the giants accolade as Granite Crusher will act as Crusher and Gnarly Rex as Tree Rex.

There are two other character dynamics that are not immediately tied to accolades or 100% star completion that may be confusing some people here.

The game gives an elemental power boost for each character from each element logged onto the save file. The game gives this boost up to six times for each element. In this regard it considers their to be 6 specific characters to each element (the original 4 introduced in S:SA, the giant and the new one). If you place LC Prism Break, S2 Prism Break and green base Prism Break on the portal only one of these will unlock the permanent elemental power boost for all Earth elemental figures. For this component of the game it does not matter which of the three versions is used.

There is also something called Heroic Challenges in the game. In Giants only figures with orange bases can unlock HC's. Their are 40 distinct different types of characters released or will be released with orange bases. You receive an extra HC at the beginning of the game and can buy another four from Auric. This makes it possible to get up to 45 HC's in giants. (There are 32 possible HC's in S:SA, characters that can play in the original game can get up to 50 HC's completed). In regards to this dynamic of the game LC Prism Break and S2 Prism Break both unlock the same HC and it does not matter which of the two is used. The original Prism Break will never unlock the HC in giants because it has a green base.

Do you know does it recognise and keep record of all 50 - assuming you complete them all - with one character on Giants? Obviously putting a character back into S:SA it would only recognise the 32 from that game, but does it remember/keep the ones you complete in Giants?

The reason why I ask is I used my S1 Stealth Elf to complete all 32 in S:SA and then did another 8 - 10 new HC's in Giants with her. But when I put her back on the portal and went to complete a few more all the original ones still had the completion stars, but the new Giants ones I had done the night before no longer had stars on them saying that I hadn't completed them with that character.

^ the reason it did that is because SSA doesn't have the HC's from Giants. It does that with the wow pows also. They aren't available in Spyro's Adventure.

In order for the benefits of the HC to save to the figure it has to be owned by that save file you are taking the HC on. I am guessing that Stealth Elf is still owned on S:SA. Take ownership of her Giants and you will be able to complete and save the progress of the challenges.

Pretty sure I had taken ownership because I used this Stealth Elf to get the 20 HC's with 1 Skylander accolade, but perhaps I did the ownership thing AFTER I did the HC's that didn't save.

Thanks for the advice I will try again. Wasn't sure if it was a glitch like the one where I brought the same upgrades for Eye Brawl 3 times last night because they kept not saving. Same thing happen twice with Thumpback, was pretty annoying.

That is completely FALSE. You only have to own the character for the HC to be added to the save game to be played by anybody. A guest Skylander can complete any Heroic Challenge on any save game you want. I actually used and abused this for Lightning Rod's HC. My original save game, the HC wouldn't work anymore (this has been covered in depth elsewhere). I started a new game, saved Cali, took ownership of Lightning Rod only, and completed the HC in SSA with all 20 of my figures, all owned by my Skylanders Giants save game at the time. It worked, they all still report that challenge as completed.

Also, the HC doesn't have to be added to the save game. A guest character has their challenge added temporarily, then if they fail it you can change Skylanders and have them play the challenge. MUCH longer that way, but it works as well.

Sorry must have been having an off moment. Yup, I've completed HC's with characters not owned by the save file as well, especially when shifting between S:SA and Giants. I was thinking about permanently unlocking the HC challenge in the game and that the challenge would not permanently register unless the character was owned.

Thank you for correcting me here. I am going back and deleting the original statement to avoid spreading incorrect information.

GASSA, it looks like your issue was definitely a saving glitch. This is common for the wireless portal especially around devices that read and put off strong broadband signals like some TV's and blue ray players.
