I get watching Hasan cause he's hot and stuff. But frogan is genuinely just some terminally online twitch mod. 100 viewers isn't bad at all and is like top 1% of streamers. But I hate the twitch networking scene where the only way to get a boost outside of tiktok or YouTube is to be leech.

The fact that theres a banned community episode because the dumb idiotic comedic relief dresses up like a dark elf and is unintentionally doing blackface but people are defending saying "hes dressed like a dark elf its not blackface".

Ok extraemily is a really interesting streamer. Because I have no idea how she has a positive image she she has a list of men she's had sex with state and ratings. It's pretty disgusting. But also having your parents pay 100k+ to go to a college and then deciding that you don't want to pay them back anymore despite being a millionaire. ://////// like there's a good chance her parents viewed her more as an investment rather than a person but like her response to not wanting to pay them back is pretty disgusting. Idk tho I'm in a super similar situation except my parents didn't really invest in me with no extracurriculars, not paying for college, etc but want me to pay them back

i get that the nostalgia critic now is pretty lame. but saying that he was never funny or good is not accurate. his review of bebe's kids had a full intro made for one review and you can clearly see the amount of passion put into it as he knew this was his one chance to attract a new audience during the great AVGN Vs Nostalgia Critic feud.

da makes me very angry. i guess maybe its just the inner boomer in me but being bombarded by fetish stuff and uncensored porn is not what i wanna see when i first open the website. and idk why but they make it actually impossible to see newest deviations. there's no link for it at least for me so how are artists supposed to be noticed?? but anyway when i did figure that out it was just. sad content. obviously some cool stuff in between but a lot of nasty stuff. and idk i try to submit my deviations to groups and stuff but a lot of them are dead or just dont accept anything. so the whole experience is really frustrating. im hoping artfol grows in popularity because tbh i think DA needs to be put out of its misery.

Oh jeez that's awful! It's been a hot sec since I was active but all the layout changes have made it frustrating to navigate, and of course yeah it's very dead these days. The surprise porn sounds super messed up. :c I've been doing OC art so I've just been putting it on toyhou.se but obv not a great solution if you're doing other kinds of art and looking for critique haha.

fir anyone looking for an alternative to DA you can try pixiv. it is known mainly as a japanese artist site but it entirely has an English version now and is often way easier to get an audience then DA at this point.

to be honest X is probably one of the best places to post your art if you want an audience. maybe certain art communities on reddit especially if you want to make money from your art.

while i feel a true pain in my heart to ever suggest or point anyone to social media it also simply the truth that it has pushed out almost every other online community. DA had become more for established artists or very very VERY specific uh... niches... and other places only become more obscure on from there.

the best place is the place with the most eyes on it i suppose.

i made a bluesky account the day it opened up but... i do not reelly like it like i thought i would. prefer the interface to X but i do not really see the difference as opposed to X. seems to be just as toxic to me and unfortunately just another echo chamber as becomes every social media site.

i dont know to me it is just X but with less of an audience and less help for advertisement and to reach your intended audience or community.

i definitely do not participate in social media for community or person to person interaction.
