the problem is that in any discussion both sides don't want to see from the perspective of the other in a positive light so the only way to talk is to exaggerate how great your side is

^that s actually a pretty good way to put it i generally don t talk too much my political opinions in a serious atmosphere because most of the time it leads to a brick wall of “my way is better is the only way” and idk if i m any good at it but when i see someone who shares the same opinion as me going at it doing just that and exaggerating to the point of making themselves look stupid i cringe lol mostly because it s like…. we re not all like that i promise lol

^god damned management should put more cashiers up (i assume you don t own the store if you do sorry for the following) country wants to whine about “labor shortage” and only higher two cashiers in a huge department store at a time please there s plenty of people who want the jobs they just don t want jobs that don t pay them a livable salary and don t want to be on the floor alone having to deal with ten times the amount of angry impatient customers greedy upper management just wants to keep their alleys as stuffed as possible oh

I worked at target and six flags and the biggest reason why there is a shortage on labor isn't because people aren't being hired but because a lot of people are just quitting or not showing up to work. Both are pretty different with staff tho like target have a lot of people but let go a lot of them or give them like 8 hours a week while six flags wants 20 hours in 2 days. Both have a problem of workers not showing up.

I still think the wage of jobs should be increased if they actually want people to work. Even if payroll limits the amount of money given out it evens out with less hours given.

i don t think there is a labor shortage JUST because people don t show up these big companies are just selfish there is literally no excuse to have 2 people working registers in a target (this happens in my state) when you could have like 10 at a given time they can afford it easily they used to back in the day (old lady voice) they just want that extra dough now and it puts way more stress on employees which like no duh they don t want to show up later

i use(d) karen to describe entitled people/customers, regardless of sex. like, i get that it's a female name, but the "behavior" that it came to describe is not exclusive to any one sex, so i don't see why not. there are definitely male karens.

karen is such a weird term because theres no male equivalent that caught on. it started as a stereotype for this ancient meme describing middle aged white suburban moms


but then again there's been this huge thing about the term having afrifcan american origins from the 1800s - early 1900s with miss ann or becky which I personally think is a stretch because the term is pretty new.

honestly my only problem with the word is that it is used to describe a really entitled person when the people who say it are also just as entitled. like people who just like to put themselves over others say it a lot
