The malaise of life can really do a number on our attitudes. It’s tough, even if you don’t have anything in particular to point to that’s bringing you down. Life is tough, but you are doing a wonderful job at it! :)

I don't understand people who just want friends to say that they have them. I want friends because I legitimately want them. Until recently, I unfortunately haven't had very many, but I've met so many great people who I am honestly honored to be considered their friend. Do I want to have a lot of friends? Well, yes. But not just so I have a long list of names on friends list that doesn't actually mean anything to me. I actually want to know these people. I want to hang out with them, even if it's virtually. I want to talk to them. I want to laugh with them. I want to get to know them better. I legitimately care about what they're going through, and I'll do anything I can to help them. Because I really do care. I don't want to make friends just so I can say, "Oh, I have a lot of friends, look how popular I am," or whatever might be going through those people's minds. I want real friends, and I want to be a real friend.

My house is currently outside of the evacuation area, but that could change at any minute. To make matters worse, we’re in the middle of a COVID lockdown too and I’m currently employed as a medical technician testing for COVID. Life is hell atm.

got almost 2 ft of snow and my chickens REFUSED to come outside. no amount of treats or anything would bring them out. the little babies would fly out and perch on me but wouldn't touch the snow. well i just laid down a thin layer of sand on top of the snow and the delicate princesses are now beboping outside. animals amaze me
