Sparx. I always use Sparx first.

Sparx, but the health potion has saved my *** more than anything!

Do you count Sidekicks? If so I almost always have at least one (usually Gill Runt) on the portal at all times. If not, I like using the hidden treasure for extra cash.

I dont use em.

Gotta be the Potion, it has saved me a lot, allowing me to continue using someone I want to focus on. Starting to wish I could get another (without buying the Adventure Pack again, LOL!). And I find in Giants it's FAR more effective, it can bring someone from close-to-dead to close-to-full-health.

After that I find the Anvil to be pretty effective in big fights - it really kicks ass when facing Robo-Kaos and his helpers - though annoying that it knocks you around. So I like Sparx better to help me defeat people when it comes to that, though the Ghost Swords seem to work even better.

And are we counting the level toys as Magic Items? They're all effectively the same as the Anvil, though they do more damage and run out quicker...

The Time Twist Hourglass and Winged Boots have saved me so many times in Heroic Challenges.

Ingame, Dragonfire Cannon and Potion are pretty useful.

i only used them for time trials in nightmare like for lvl 14

Has anyone had a problem with one of their magic items failing to be recognized on the portal?

but i cant be sure because i dont have the hourglass or potion

I used to try to use the Time Twist Hourglass for Heroic Challenges in SSA, but it wouldn't work unless it was already on the Portal when I spoke to Cali. Otherwise it would be ignored. I assumed it was so we couldn't cheat at the Heroic Challenges and stopped trying, LOL! I never tried any others as the Hourglass is the most obviously useful there.

And other than this, no, I've never had a problem with the Magic Items being recognized on the Portal.... I've had characters have trouble, having to try them in different spots on the Portal to get them to work, and in theory the technology of the Skylander figures is the same as that of the Magic Items.... Try them in the center if they don't work on the edge and vice versa. If you still have no luck, contact Activision, I believe they'll replace faulty toys.

sparx is my favorite, Anvil rain is a close second because of how it helped me with double trouble's heroic challenge in SSA

If Sidekicks count, it still doesn't matter. I like Pirate Swords and The Treasure Chest
