Most versatile characters tend to be bad at one of their roles in exchanhe for their versatility.
Lightning rod is an exception and is probably one of the most versatile characters in the game.

Swarm, lightning rod, zook, pop fizz, sonic boom, conjurer double trouble, hot head, flameslinger, s2 eruptor, s2 prism break, warnado, camo, forest ninja stealth elf, ice prison path slam bam, voodood, tree rex, thumpback, and eye brawl are all versatile.

My favorites versatile guys:
