Hi All! I'm new here. I'm a mom with a 5 yo boy that loves Skylanders Giants. Of course, I play too. Onto my question: I don't understand what these new battle pack things do. I put the scorpion thing on the portal with a Skylanders and it just follows them around. I can't find instructions even on the Skylanders website. What are that cannon and catapult thing supposed to do? What am I missing?

They attack enemies when you get near them. The cannon shoots one large blast forwards that deals 100 damage to anything in it's way and (I presume) the catapult launches a kind of lob attack that deals 100 damage to enemies in a certain radius - I don't actually own the latter myself, so it'd be hard to say.

They also open new battle arenas in vs and items to use in vs, and I think my scorpion striker only does like 15 dm as well as my gold dragon cannon may only do like 20 dm so I don't know bout the 100 dm

Could have sworn that they all did 100 - oh well, guess I was wrong.
