I bought the Wii version of Giants and loved it. I bought both the Wii and 3DS version of S:SA. So I decided to go ahead and buy the starter kit of Giants. I really think it is dumb for there to be Tree Rex in both sets. Why did they do it like this? Couldnt they have chosen another giant for the 3DS like Crusher? Then It could be a new giant, a new character, and a S2 repose. It makes more sense to me. But I guess they want you to spend money on the starter set to get Punch Pop Fizz. And with the S2 of Cynder, maybe you would want to get the other S2's because you already have one now. I dont know what the logic was, but it makes me not want to get it, but then again I want Punch Pop Fizz and the new game, so I guess paying 15 for Punch Pop Fizz isn't that bad. Does anyone else wish they would have put a different giant in the starter kit? Which one? I just really liked the fact that I got 2 NEW characters in the 3DS version of S:SA and a varient. This one seems pointless.

consider tree rex as a promotional free Giants figure. just be thankful they even included figures in the game rather than just a disk/cartridge itself then buy figures just to get the game started. just save up some money and just buy the Giants that you really like. remember also this is Activision were talking about their best at marketing and milking the most of the money they can make, to us consumers. its still a fun game + figures collections to collect. its very expensive hobby if your really in to it but you shud have known that before even buying the game. just have and enjoy!!! happy hunting

To me it seems weird that in SSA that 3DS was the only version with DIFFERENT characters. Every other system - Wii, XBox 360, PS3 - all had the same characters. I still can't figure out why they made the 3DS version of the SSA Starter Pack different. This is just Activision/Toys For Bob making it fair again. Everybody who buys the starter pack gets the same figures, no matter what system you're on. They're not counting on people buying the game more than once, on more than one system.

^ the DS game of Spyro's Adventure is actually a very different game then the console versions, so it makes sense to come with different figures.
while the Giants DS game is pretty much the same thing as the console versions. |
