Agree to an extent. That's 60 bucks in shrinkage for the store since they're actually tracked by the system. The manager in me is naturally bothered by this.

6 x $30 in merchandise = $180 in store sales that the Sidekicks were supposed to add up to.

I bought both (Thumpback/Eye-Brawl) today and it came up to $29.98 (Without tax). The register rang up the sidekick (Gillrunt) at $999.99 because the price has to be $29.99 (Without Tax) to get it free. One penny short. On the counter there was some used DS games that were in a bin. I found Guitar Hero for $.99 ($.89 after my PowerUp discount). Once he rang that up it rang up the sidekick for free. Notice that not all my items were Skylanders to get me over the $29.99. So you dont have to buy all skylander items to get the free sidekick.

History (Old News):
Beginning of the week some GS were selling them for $9.99 each but on Wednesday it came down from Corp. to change the price to $999.99 unless you purchase $29.99 worth of Skylanders merchandise.

Thats weird, I bought a giant, 14.99 and the store associate scanned a sidekick, and it still rung up as $0.00. I guess lucky me !

Very lucky. did it have a sticker price of $999.99 or $9.99 on the sidekick? Just curious.

My gamestop rang up 3 sidekicks and they all came up free promo with only 2 Thumpback and 2 Eyebrawl.

Yeah, when I got Thumpy and Eye, I bought two of each (I had a friend that asked me to pick him up a set), which rang up as $59.96. The employee told me that I got two Sidekicks for that. I called my friend to see which two he wanted (I already have all four), and he scanned those in with the purchase. Both rang up as $0.00, it is on the receipt, and that is below the threshold for two. So unless it changed since Wednesday or is different at different stores, who knows what happened.

we broguht in receipts of all the skylanders we bought there and we got the sidekicks for the past money we spent

i got one eye brawl and one thumpback and got trigger snappy for free. there was a barcode sticker on the plastic bag and that is what he scanned and it is on my receipt.
