This year, at both the Toy Fair and E3 events, a new Skylanders game may be announced.
Here's what to expct:

Toy Fair: Figure / Game announcement, figure prototype molds, more random merch, beta gameplay, S2's of Boomer, Camo, Dino-Rang, Ghost Roaster, Warnado, Wham-Shell, Sunburn, and Voodood. Plus other S2's, S3's (Possibly), new characters, and new "Magic" incorproated figures (new effects like the LightCores).
There also may be an exclusive figure lik last yar, and according to Universe, it may be a Gill Grunt variant.

E3: More figures, more gameplay (No longer beta), newer figure reveals, another unknown variant, and a slew of new other reveals.

Mabey titans larger than giants for $20

Nah, most likely the S2's of all the Giants. I imagine Eye Brawl holding a smaller eye and it lights up, and Ninjini coming out of her bottle, with upgraded swords on her back.

Oh mabey hot head hand will light up

Hot Head could be him holding up a meteor that lights up.

Tree Rex needs his armor on the Treefolk Charger path.

Swarm could be a movie style "jumping sideways in slow-mo shooting guns (His Barbs)."

Crusher could be his "magic moment" pose with his upgraded hammer.

Bouncer could have eye beams that light up.

Thumpback could be his Bellyslide attack.

NO we do not need s2 giants. Give us the missing 8 and no more S2 or S3 or what ever, or atleast till they have been "out of print" for a game or 2.

Or, tree rex charging, eye brawl with minions at his feet, bouncer with upgraded guns and eye beams,
Thumpback with upgraded anchor, swarm in the air, barbed wings, crusher with hammer daddy upgrade, hot head with dragon on hand?

where are these fairs going to be located in this year?

Im all for them making $ but I dont want to buy the same thing 2x (they got me the first time with S2) but I dont think most people would do it again. Plus I think they have lerned that the S2 did not sell as well as the new skylanders. And remaking the most expensive skylanders would not be a good marketing decision.

theryll probaly be reposes of the missing, the new 8 and the 8 giants and they wont be called series 2 theyd be series 3 and then 8 new giants and 8 new regulars and that will be the same amount of figures as this time

I know. But I have a HUGE family, and I may be able to get into E3.

NY holds them, but you have to be part of the press to get in if I remember correctly.

I think what we can probably expect though:
-First trailer for the next game
-Appearance of at least 3 new characters, be they Giants (which they hopefully wont be) or some other sort of new "gimmick" for the game. One of them probably will have no name on display. (He'll be the "secret" of the display)
-Probably a very brief bit of gameplay; a character trailer of sorts
-Possibly 4-5 physical figures will be on display. I'd certainly hope if they do decide to do the remaining 8 older guys into S2 poses, they have them upfront and on display.

As for the special figure, it *should* be a character who's already out, although part of me sees them handing out variant S2 Spyros. (or heck, even plain S2 Spyros early. That'd be neat and not such a big kick in the pants for fans who can't go)

Quite hilariously, I can see them also putting out a new Metallic S2 Cynder since she's out. I somewhat expect Pop Fizz to be the variant though.

To be honest, I can't see them doing S2 versions of the Giants. Our understanding of why they made S2 characters in the first place isn't a lot, but the general idea seems that it's to "futureproof" the characters, allowing them to work in future games while also cashing in from collectors. To follow the canon of the games, they really can't release "new" Giants, because the legend only includes the 8 that are in this game. (and new ones wouldn't really fit into the "lore" of the games)

Hopefully if they want new Giant-esque characters though, they give us "Boss Battle" pieces. (I mean, large giant sized figures of bosses, like Occulous or even Vathek) This would work out for the adventure packs as well, since I don't think anyone is looking forward to playing the exact same level a third time.

If I recall correctly a part of the press OR own a business that sells toys.

EDIT: I also think you guys are giving them too much of a benefit of a doubt. Toy companies are notorious for releasing different editions of a figure with minimal difference. These are just as much toys as they are video game accessories (arguably, they are more likes because of the lack of a set release date) so I do believe we'll see S2 again and probably S3.

EDIT2: Sure, new Giants might destroy canon but who's to say there aren't new recruits? I mean now that the originals are found. Besides, how did the Giants come about in the first place anyways? Surely, their existence means it is something that can happen sporadically.

They already said the Elder Elementals (ie Giants) were the first Skylanders. However, they already messed up the lore, by stating they could harness the powers of light and darkness. That part didn't happen.

What uf the elder elements were titans? Where you have to shake wii mote/ hit LT/ hit back button to use "dark attack" or "light attack"?

But they meant the powers of light and darkness. They mention it in the context of elements, because lighting up doesn't do anything special for the Giants themself ingame.

I would like to see these Elder Elementals use Light and Dark elements.

I wished I lived in LA, I live in LV, Nevada though. However, me too! Would someone be able to get me an exclusive as well

If E3 does have an exclusive, I'd be willing to pay a reasonable price for it if someone could get me one. o: No way I'd ever be able to go to E3.. :/ Even though that's something I've always wanted to do. I'm really excited for skylanders 3.

Release info to fans!!!, coop at least 4 players offline/online but the more the merrier (splitscreen mabe?) includes PVP, more adventure packs per wave rather than just figures per wave, sandbox/ability to create own map, new figures, longer gameplay.

i wud expect more from TFB/Activision since their gona have competition now. i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm 19. Just, E3 is too far away for me to go.

Oh they'll be doing new Giants, no doubt. Those are top sellers for them. They'll find a way around canon without needing to sell S3 versions of the original 8, trust me. And I second UncleBob; this is probably the year for articulation. That'd put Disney Infinity in its place, that's for sure. I can't think of anything that kids want to do more with these figures than move them.

Articulation wouldnt cost as much, right? Same price?

I would imagine everything newly released will cost more regardless...

Maybe the titans, instead of being ancient, could be myths used to keep those in line? Maybe statues would be made of them in skylands. Maybe they cold bring those to life?
