Hello All,
First time poster on the site. New to skylanders and like most on this board it has become very time consuming and expensive. But its been fun.
My question is, I bought a Stone Zook Variant in the 3 pack, off Evilbay of course (couldnt help myself). The packaged arrived quite damaged. To the point the package was opened. So basically I am left with a loose variant. How much does that affect the value that it is not in the package. My intent was to keep it packaged. I am working on resolving the issue with the seller but dont know where to start as to how much this decreased its value. Any opinions are welcome.

Well from what i know the 3 packs are not worth as much as the singal packs any way (but that would take the value by half in my book) one thing to ask is, Does your stone zook show up as special in game (it should) but about 50% of them dont do to a fectery error, if yours does it would still be worth some thing if not there is no way to prove its not fake if its not still in the box. Just my 2 cents.

I say with a damaged box, it's worth about $70 IF it shows up as special in game

Yeah, if it doesn't show up in-game as "special", you honestly might be screwed in terms of value since it's loose as well.

I would like to keep it and get a partial refund. Just trying to figure what its worth now that its loose.
I guess it comes down to whether it shows up in the game as special. Cross my fingers I am going to try now. Done in by Evilbay |

Because 1 seller who doesn't know how to package an item = evilbay, come on people. As far as value goes I would say it lost a minimum of half its value to the average person, probably more. I personally wouldn't buy a loose variant as it has no value to me.

OK so Evilbay is way over the top. I dont mind it in all honesty. The good news, it shows as a Series 2 Special on the game. So at least that is a good thing. The seller is willing to make amends for $50.00 on the loose Zook. Is that too much?

Based upon my observations with SSA on eBay, a loose variant figure was typically worth 60-70% less than the same variant within the package. Certainly it depends upon the figure, packaging, timing; however, I would say it's almost always more than 50% of the value.
The first Stone Zooks became available on 10/21ish/12. Trying to compare auctions from relatively similar time frames, with single pack Stone Zooks, and all things considered here is some comparisons you could look at: OPENED Zook: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Skylan...=item2c692dfbec PACKAGED Zooks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Skylan...=item20ccc71dff http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-S...=item3ccbca6345 I understand that these prices were inflated because they were the first ones on the market, but you get the gist of the pricing differences between open and unopened figures. Hopefully this may help with you resolving your damaged packaging issue with your seller. Good luck!

thanks very helpful. I paid $70.00 for the 3 pack expecting to get a good package. Being that it is loose and shows up in the game as special. I think 35.00 would be fair based on the feedback I am getting. If I can buy it for that I will have a nice toy for the collection but not as collectable. Thanks for the help.

For 35$ yes woth it if it shows up as Series 2 Special (lol I would buy a loose one with sticker and card for that price) 40$ would be the most tho that I would pay. (payed 44$ with free shiping for my loose gnarly tree rex) so a stone zook for 40$ or less sounds good.

Yes it was in the US. I have ended up with a resolution of $40 for the loose Zook..
I feel good about that. Wish it was in the box but better than nothing. Thanks |
