Alright, so I'm really curious about this "GameStop promo deal" just like everyone else with a love of skylanders. This promo is supposedly buy $30 of skylanders at GameStop and they will give you a giant sidekick. Tomorrow I will call my local GameStop and record the conversation.

Questions I will be asking:
-When will/was the Scorpion Striker (be) released?
-Is this promo real?
-When will it start and finish?
-Will we be able to purchase them after the promo expires?
-Will we get to choose our sidekick?
-If I spend $60 can I get two sidekicks or do they have to be separate purchases? (Ex: 2 battle/triple packs and a skylander is $60, but one battle/triple pack and a skylander is $35 {$5 you can't put towards another sidekick.}
-Can you read me the names of the sidekicks? (To see if it's Thumpling, Eye Small, Barkley, Minijini. Or Gill Runt, Trigger Snappy, Terrabite, Stealth Elf. Or all 8?

I can answer all of those. I have a friend at Gamestop who read the memo to me over the phone.

1: Friday
2: The promo is real
3: January 16th through January 31st
4: While supplies last
5: Yes
6: Each customer can get up to 4... unless you know someone at a store who will "hook you up" in which case you still have to do two seperate transactions if you want two complete sets of 4.
7: Gamestop does not have the names of the Sidekicks, or rather the memo does not name names, only that they are Giants Sidekicks.

<rant> Alright wow thanks. Don't get me wrong I believe you 100% GameMaster but I'm gonna call my local GS just in case. My dad will be mad if I make him drive me to GameStop for nothing. This just really upsets me because as a kid under 15 I can't get a job. I have $30 (and $5 from GameStop) left from Christmas money and that's about it. I can get $45 a month in the summer from my parents (washing cars, cutting grass) but in the winter I can only shovel the driveway. But in NY the snow melts before I get home from school. I will be able to get one sidekick (two if I'm lucky) and can't get the other 2/3 sidekicks. I am obsessed and gotta have all original 32, all giants, all Newlanders, all S2 and all magic items/sidekicks. To top that off I was saving my money for some miracle to find the last 3 S:SA sidekicks for under $10 a piece! Well this is a disaster but we gotta do what we gotta do...

Can you get the promo online or just in the store?

Is this promo states only or will Canada be taking part as well since we also have Gamestop aka Eb Games

That's fine. Not mad, nor do I think you're calling me a liar. Was just trying to help. Call them tomorrow and make sure. Make sure if the employee doesn't know, to tell them to check their emails. I had to tell my friend before he found it and read it to me.
