From what I have heard if you pre-ordered it will be out today, otherwise it is Tomorrow or Friday. No one really knows for sure.

This post is a catch 22....A guy jaded by scalpers posts that it's not happening today....I'm tending to lean that it is happening today more and you're busting the chops of scalper onlookers of the board. LOL

As captain of this Skylanders family ship, a decision must be made.

Deployment of the wife to gamestop (and now Walmart) is still a go.

Usually I base my decisions on common sense and patterns. It works for me more than it doesn't. Only time will tell how this day plays out.

Gamestop website now says 1/10 for release date

Well, looks like I was right. Friday will be the day. I hope deployed wife doesn't make the captain sleep on the couch.

She should...

I would never ask a woman to do something I can do myself, if we were both at home at the same time. I can go get it myself. Now, if any woman I was with, was out, maybe I'd call and be polite and ask if she wouldn't mind stopping by a store to check, but only if it was close by the place(s) she was needing to go.

Maybe he works from home or is at work? Maybe he has a condition that doesn't allow him to drive. Plenty of possibilities. I know you said "that I could do myself" therefore excluding him if this were the case but I just wanted to put that out there.

Captain is working/unavailable to leave his post.

Captain's better half stays at home and kid is in school right now so she has ability to "make the run."

And Captain's wife is on board with making Little Captain happy with a new Eye Brawl....even if her husband initiates battle actions on less-than-reliable information and runs her on wild goose chases. Better option than paying somebody five times retail on Ebay.

If her powers of internet/google were as strong/stronger than mine in finding all the 4-1-1 on this and that, I would have her do this part as well Personally, I think this is the more time-consuming/arduous part....I've been watching this release for weeks.

Just got confirmation by phone of a per-recorded message that my order will be there also on Friday!

Welllp. You heard it folks...FRIDAY is the day. Pretty sure I'll be making a GameStop run at that time too. I have extra christmas cash to spend and I was promised some skylanders..soooo.

Bizarre. I just got the Fri PM text, but then I get this email:

Now you see, we are all just giving them reason to not give us release dates and letting us pre-order. All of the whining about the lack of specifics, and date shuffling due to shipping. The expectations of pre-orders calling in and going to the store and getting upset.

If they didn't let us pre-order, no one could be upset that the date they give us for pick up isn't specific. Or that they keep us up to date, or move the date around. Just sayin'
