What if cuss words were filtered to Spyro-related words?

Maybe there could be an option to turn it on/off?

This sounds neat. I like this idea.

Its fun but people shouldn't swear in the first place. :/ Even if it's replaced with another word the meaning and intentions are still there. I'm the first to admit i swear alot but we're on a forum where there isn't any need. There are also kids on here and i for one wouldnt want the little kids in my family joining in. Sorry to be such a party wrecker. I'm not hateing just airing my opinion.

What about replacing it with GOONRO!

Just because someone uses a cuss word, doesn't necesserily mean that they intended on that word to be insulting to someone. I rarely cuss at all, and the only times I do, I'm usually talking to my computer because its getting on my nerves. If I said it to a person, I would more than likely be talking about something else, most likely my computer. And I have cousins that are like about 11 and 6, and they apparently know the cuss words already, and also know not to say them. But there still isn't really a need for swearing, and it doesn't make it right to cuss on a site where kids are online. But it doesn't mean they know the words or would use them themselves, but it might be nice for the older users who already use these words to have this rather than the *.

You know... you don't HAVE to make dark change the censors. You can just type out your crazy Spyro code anyway... <.<;

On a spongebob forum I am on, when someone swears it is automatically replaced with:
:doliphin noise:

But Spyro ones here would be aweshum.

I can see what you're all saying but @Cynder09 - My point was we shouldn't be swearing on here anyway. And at the end of the day there is no need. I wans't saying people say it to offend or insult people. I think the suggestion is a good one and is way better than ***. I just dont think this is a place where people need to swear so there shouldn't be a need for a dub word. That is what annoys me.

So the pros are that it would be fun and the cons are is that it openly promotes morally questionable actions

Obviously fun should win every time and the fact that a large amount of the users are kids and good examples should be set is an easily trashable point

I get what you're saying. Its true, swear words shouldn't be said. But they are anyway. I found out what the swear words were at a young age. I didn't know what they meant and I knew not to say them, but I had at least heard them. Whether we say them on here or not, kids are bound to hear the words somewhere, some may even hear them from their parents. And kids don't have to be protected from every little thing all the time. When I was young, I watched movies and played games that were like either mature or R rated, and I was not scarred for life or anything. And there's a chance that some kids on here already know these words, and with the ones that don't, would they really know what we're saying if the words are being censored?

Agreed, I hate it when people sometimes use it to sound tough, it doesn't.
At all. I hate swearing, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people know that by now.
But, old habits die hard, it's their choice and if Dark really didn't want swearing, he could of prevented you saying it when you post a comment (like:
Error: cannot post that word)
