I know that this may sound weird for you, but once I tried to rationalize to myself discontinuities between original Spyro (pre-Legend) and TLoS. This is what I thought about: between TEN and DotD Spyro was frozen in crystal for three years. What could happen with Spyro all this time? Maybe he was dreaming? Maybe he dreamed about world, in which Dragon Temple never was invaded, and he could live in Dragon Realms, where he had marvelous adventures with Sparx? I know this is hard-to-believe, but I want to know what you think about that concept. Did anyone else come across such idea?

I pretty much dismissed the two continuities as separate universes... however you try to rationalize it, the world of the original Spyro is far more cartoony and the Legend world is much more mystical and like something out of a fantasy book (The Lord of the Rings particularly comes to mind). <.<;
