Just wondering. Right now my total is 4782. Wondering if I need more houses.

6 out of 314. I'm thinking of selling all of my houses and rebuilding them.

If you sell a house, you'll lose the Mabu that were in them, so make sure you replace them with higher-capacity housing if you do that.

A lot later in the game, there's also a limit to the number of high-end houses you're allowed to have in play. All the Wood Houses seem to have no limit, but you can only have up to 20 Manors, 16 Great Manors, and 12 Outposts. (There's probably a limit of only 8 Strongholds if the pattern holds, but at 550,000 Gold per Stronghold, that's not really something you can casually build.)

Due to the limit on Community buildings (no matter how high your level becomes, you can never have more than 5 Post Offices, 5 Banks, 4 Loggers, 6 Snack Stands, 4 Mines, 4 Blacksmiths, 1 Library, 3 Fizzy Juice Factories or 3 Waterworks - and I imagine the others will max out by the time you hit Level 30), there's also a point where you won't need any more Mabu for awhile. I'm Level 28 right now (and it takes FOREVER to level, heh) - 6,000 Mabu will let you build every possible Community Building you're allowed to have at that point, even the three Theaters with their absolutely ridiculous cost in Mabu to build.

But if I sold a house whose Mabu was already used, and I have such a low number of Mabu right now, selling them would just lower my maximum and not my current amount. Therefore I earn money to build better houses and increase my Mabu amounts.

If you lower your Mabu amount so it says "zero" but it's actually a NEGATIVE number, it remembers that difference.

Let's say you sold 40 Mabu worth of housing, so it displayed that you had "0 / 274." You actually wouldn't get any new Mabu from houses until you got back up to 308 Mabu, because they'd need to go to work in the Community Buildings that you already made as soon as they showed up. [In reality, you'd have -34 / 274 Mabu.]

Not having enough Mabu in a Community Building won't keep that building from working (the game's not that advanced), but there's no way to sell off housing, rebuild it, and use those Mabu somewhere else if there's a Community Building that needs those Mabu in it first.
