Are they planning on putting the big skylanders display back up like how it was oct-late nov ? First it was barbie then they changed it to like a clearance area of like freakin baby wipes... whoever works at tru can you a swer my question of if the dsplay wi llbe back? do they even have it anymore

i went into toys r us tonight too and saw the baby display as you walk in the door. let me tell you thats something i dont care to see when i walk in the door of a toys r us maybe a babys r us.

I doubt they put that back up. The two TRU's I go too, have two displays. One on a wall as you are going in and then the regular section. The only reason I doubt they put it back up is, we are not going to see a release of characters like we did when the game first came out. You had release day characters and now then you had wave 2 the next day. So with a lot of people having most characters now, that prime real estate will be used for stuff that will move, like baby wipes and diapers. Kids.... always needing their diaper changed, when I was that age....

My TRU has electronics set up in the back of the store. There's a whole back row of shelves facing the bikes and stuff filled with Skylanders (i assume this is the one that was originally in the front of the store)
Then they ALSO have a second display in Electronics facing the video games and adjacent to the Angry Birds stuff.

I doubt that they'll be putting the Skylanders front and center again. If I had to guess, the next thing you'll probably see is a bunch of Iron Man or Superman stuff up front, since Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel are gonna be out earlier in the year.

They will put stuff their that is a good money maker for them and will sell. Skylanders in most stores from what I have seen, have two spots one on a wall as you come into the store and one at the regular location.

One other reason TRU might not put those in that prime location again is if Acti and TFB run out of characters agian, they will have a big empty spot. We had a saying for this when we ran out of stuff, empty shelves don't sell.

Sheldon is right. If they ran out of stock it'd be an enormous blank spot. Hell, one day one of launch we burned through almost our entire initial stock - which was a few dozen cases of everything. We'll probably set up the front display again in ten months when Sky3 launches.
